I started back last May, I was 13 stone 12. Today I weigh 10 stone 6.
I did 2 x 2.5 pens
2 x 5 pens
1 x 7.5
1 x 10 pen
and I start my first 12.5 tomorrow.
Full disclosure….I lost the majority of my weight in the first 4 months (on the lowest dose pens) I’ve lost under a stone with the last two higher pens, I almost feel they aren’t working sometimes too. For example the 10mg pen I’ve lost 2.5lbs on in the last month! (That's an expensive 2.5 lbs!). I've hit plateau after plateau where nothing changes for weeks on end or I lose 2lbs and gain 1b.
I have gone low carb and very high protein. I’m 62 this year and now a very comfortable size 14 - in fact my size 14 jeans are now a bit too big. Previously I was an 18-20 (I’m 5ft 4). My goal weight is 10 stone which would give me a BMI of 23.5.
A friend of mine has suggested that my body may now just be at the right weight for me. I’m pretty good at calorie counting - aim for 1400 a day - sometimes I’m a little over and sometimes a little under. I have days when I’m hungrier than others
We have no snack food in the house - I simply don’t buy it. If I was hungry again tonight my choices would be an apple, a banana or at a push, a Baby bel cheese.
Today I’ve eaten 2 x Weetabix with semi skimmed milk and chopped banana, some homemade chicken, bacon and lentil soup, a small bowl of full fat proper Greek yoghurt and dinner was wholegrain rice with three different steamed veg and a grilled salmon fillet.
I’m not hungry tonight.
I joined a Gym in September and really enjoy it, the weight machines and especially the incline on the treadmill for 30 mins 3 x a week, plus Aqua Fit and swimming lengths.
After this 12.5 mg pen my ‘plan’ is to work back down the doses. It may be that when I get back to the 2.5mg again, I stay on that for a while to maintain.
