Name changed for this. In November I had a radical hysterectomy which has pushed me into a crash menopause (I'm 44) My GP prescribed me with HRT but I have gained 12lbs of weight since pre hysterectomy. I know some of this will be due to inactivity but I'm starting to up my activity now. This weight gain is really getting me down, it's not enough to go up a size in clothes, but enough to make me feel uncomfortable.
What is the best way to lose weight after the menopause? Before whenever I put on weight I just didn't eat sweets or crisps for a few weeks until I was back to normal but I've read that it's difficult to lose weight after the menopause.
