Starting the weight loss pens again

Last year I started on wegovy with Juniper and I was then on Ozempic with Voy until around September as various expenses were kicking in and I wanted to control various things. I still had a fair amount to lose - at least 2 stone. People had commented on my weight loss and I felt better.

Now it is January I have looked at my budget and I think there is enough things I can cut and rearrange to try it again. But I am aware of the price rises and other things going on around this area, since I stopped using them I wasn't really paying as close attention as I was focused on other things.

Does anyone have any advice please on restarting? I have been with Voy and Juniper and of course still receive the advertising and I have been on their recent pages. But as it was nearly half a year since being on them, I just wanted to make sure I know anything obvious or anything I am missing.

Thank you for any thoughts!

hiya! I’m currently on them through a local independent pharmacy, which has been working well for me. Prices start at £110, maximum is £200 for 2.4mg. The major hikes come at 1.7mg and 2.4mg.

Personally, I prefer going in person. I have a monthly appointment to pick up my meds, along with a 15 minute convo to discuss any changes and my weight is monitored. Any side effects are noted and I can get instant advice. It’s not the cheapest but to be honest, it’s reliable and I don’t need to be in for deliveries etc and I never have to worry about stock.

I find the other online pharmacies end up more expensive once the discount expires anyway - so definitely recommend shopping around local pharmacies and see if they offer it :) x

ETA: I’m on Wegovy too, FYI :)

ozempic isn’t licensed for weight loss in the uk. Which country are you in OP?

Wegovy has not had any price rises. It was Mounjaro that was hiked in Sept 2025. Did you mean Mounjaro from Voy? Ozempic is the same as Wegovy in that it’s the same medication but Ozempic in the UK is the version that T2 diabetics are prescribed. It’s usually Wegovy that is prescribed solely for weight loss.

You can compare prices on sites like https://igovy.co.uk for Wegovy prices and https://monj.co.uk for Mounjaro. With a new customer discount, Wegovy is available for around £60 for a 0.25mg pen, and you can change pharmacies each order to take advantage of each one’s new customer discount.
