Basically I'd like a flatter tum for the summer, and our holiday. What is the best way to do this? I've tried cutting out carbs but not making a huge amount of difference. What exercises are good for this?

running

made more difference to my stomach than any amount of sit-ups

Sit-ups are the best for toning. I don't actually do any myself, i read an article that says it takes your body 2 years to fully recover so I'm set for another 14 months! :0
But no good dieting if not gonna do any exercise.
Swimming good for all over, but think sit-ups is the only way to go for the belly

You need to burn off the fat with aerobic exercise and concentrate on toning your core and more visible muscles with 'plank' exercises (youtube it) and a few situps.

short sharp bursts, enough to last a whole song.

On the kitchen floor while you're waitig for the pasta to cook.
