How much did you gain over Xmas/December?

I bit the bullet and stood on the scales. It was definitely worse than I thought…7 pounds. And that’s after cutting back in Jan :/

I gained the same after a holiday in September and I am thoroughly hacked off that I have to keep losing this same 10 pounds. Had I had an ounce of control I would be at my goal weight instead of having just maintained (pre Christmas).

I did go all out thought as I gave myself all of December off. I had half a Yule log one day….ridiculous behaviour . Lots of alcohol/cocktails too.

Im living off soups and salads until I see my pre Christmas weight

I had lost 50 pounds and now it’s basically only 40 which feels not as impressive. At my peak weight loss I was down 65 pounds (but I was being very strict for that ahead of an event - juiced so I knew that was never going to stay off)

9lb 😬 just braved the scales too, but never mind it will come off

Daisywhatsyouranswer · 19/01/2026 17:06

4 lbs, was on an all inclusive for Xmas and new year and now back to pre hol, weight but I maintain on a low dose of mounjaro so am in control.

Loloblue · 19/01/2026 17:07

I probably out on 7lbs I don't weigh myself due to history with eating disorders. I felt awful about it just before new years so started then with some
jogs and stuff. Perhaps I (we!) need to figure out some strategies for managing next time - saying ok so I can go this far but no further? However it's holidays everyone pushes the fuck it button

I was absolutely shocked that I didn’t gain anything. I made my way through those ridiculous Jaffa cake and party rings tubes! Even my DH commented how he prefers me a little more fuller. So I feared the worst, avoided the scales until last week - only to see I stayed the same!?

Oh god that’s basically telling uou you’re gaining weight, how creepy.

I gained three pounds but have lost it already. I will gain it again at Easter when I consume my body weight in hot cross buns!

jjjwgagy · 19/01/2026 17:22

Around 7lb. Lost 3 stone on mounjaro came off in August have gained a stone in total since then around half of that stone was over Christmas. Have lost 3lb since and then regained 1lb 🙃

elliejjtiny · 19/01/2026 17:22

1.5kg. Not as bad as I was expecting but it's the bad habits that I'm struggling with. I've been eating lots of fruit and veg this month but also lots of chocolate and crisps.

TheatreTheatre · 19/01/2026 17:29

The combined weight of a Christmas Pudding, 3800 yorkies, 6 boxes of Lindor and Lindt Santa and the full (chocolate) reindeer team.

I am addressing it, one Lindor at a time.

Doyouthinktheyknow · 19/01/2026 17:36

I didn’t gain thankfully but I did try to eat mindfully and really did not want to undo all my good work. I had some treats but didn’t go mad and got back to normal quickly. Partly helped by working through the festive period.

I’m on a 2 week holiday in Feb, that will be a real test! Last 3 holidays I’ve managed not to gain so fingers crossed. I’ll be making use of the gym facilities and enjoying the food but not going mad.

4lb and pretty much all wine weight 😳

I don't get carried away by food, we didn't even do a food shop with any extras to usual. However I had so many nights out with so much wine and prosecco, it was going to take it's toll somewhere 😬

And so Dry January continues...

Squidppuzzle · 20/01/2026 08:31

I put a couple of pounds on but struggle with water weight after coming off mj, it really pisses me off when the scales go up after eating salty food, I know it's not fat, but every Monday I gain because on Sunday I eat a poor excuse of a Sunday dinner, basically veg and meat, but can't forego the gravy so up the scale goes, I loved it on mj, just yogurt, fish, chicken and fruit/veg, not a thought to food, back being obsessed now, every waking thought is what can i eat / not eat next, fucking exhausting.

LowdermilkPark · 20/01/2026 08:34

I also gained 7lbs. 🐷

But, as of this morning, I’ve lost 8.5.

daffodilandtulip · 20/01/2026 08:45

5lbs but I've lost it now. Obviously I ate more treats and drank sugary drinks but I didn't really pig out - mainly it was the effect of almost three weeks off work. Once I was back on my feet it went again.
