Has anyone tried a reverse diet?

I feel a bit softer after christmas. Im 74kg
5’11. My usual strategy to drop the fat is to exercise as much as l can increase my steps and decrease my calories. My PT has told me to eat at maintenance or do a reverse diet and increase my calories but I have a big issue with feeling fat/weight gain and feel bigger already by gaining muscle so far.

She said I have been in a calorie deficit for a while and I need to reset my metabolism.

Has anyone tried a reverse diet to drop the fat? My happy weight was 67kg so I need to drop quite a bit of fat.

I have attached a picture of my current physique.

I’ve not tried it, but might be worth giving a go?

I have tried it, and a two week uplift in calories usually does the trick. Try to get them from protein and healthy fats as opposed to anything processed. It kickstarted my weight loss again - I lost 20kg a few years back with several plateaus.
