Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice from people who’ve managed to lose weight and turn their habits around.

I feel like I’m constantly thinking about food, especially sweet stuff. I usually eat pretty well during the day, but once the late afternoon hits I start snacking nonstop. I’m probably eating 500+ calories in snacks most evenings without even realising it. Then I end up putting on a bit of weight, trying to lose it, and repeating the same cycle.

Has anyone else dealt with this kind of pattern? How did you break it or reduce the urge to snack so much in the evenings? I exercise most days, so I feel like if I could just get on top of the snacking, I’d finally make some progress.

Any tips or experiences would really help

I have been exactly like this and do still have phases of it now and again.

More healthy calories throughout the day - I bet you’re not getting enough in the morning/at lunchtime. Then still allowing myself an evening snack of Greek yoghurt and berries and sometimes I have berries with custard to curb the sugar cravings.

I had BED but and mounjaro helped massively.
Binging for me was to do with bad self image, food noise, emotional eating, and probably calorie deprivation during the day or macros being off.

if that’s not for you then people have good results with intuitive eating methods. Usually the successful ones involve lots more protein, whole grains, leafy veg and vegetables and enjoying food.

Bingeing is horrible and I sincerely wish you the best in getting over this.

Following, I really struggle with evening snacking too

Mountjaro is the only thing that worked for me. The other things that did help was Intermittent fasting - unlike PP, I do better not to eat in the morning and not much during the day - then a decent meal in the evening. The other thing is the gym in the evening - I am less likely to ruin it plus I am high on endorphins after. All these three things combined now are what works for me.

I lost two and a half stone on Mounjaro last year, but ever since then it feels like a constant battle to keep the weight off. I don’t really eat proper meals during the day because I don’t get hungry, but when I do binge, I never seem to feel full. I keep wondering whether having three solid meals might help reduce the snacking, but the truth is I’m not snacking out of hunger. It’s more about cravings and having something to do.
