Getting married in May. Need to lose a good few stone, ideally as much as possible before May. Have come across a few fab challenge threads on here but unsure which one to go with. Does anyone join multiple challenges/threads or just stick with 1?!

Are you talking about threads on here when you say 'weight loss group'?

Or do you mean SW or WW if they'r still going, not sure if they are these days?

Find the one that has people with similar stats and goals. I find it easier to stay accountable that way.

I am on 2, although I have gone a little quiet on one, where I am following a similar approach to another user, and another where were are usually within a pound of each other. I find it helps me as those where other posters are a few stone less than me makes me feel bad about myself as I am not there yet, and those who have a few stone more to lose than me seem to have good losses and I find it quite deflating when I plateau.

This is a me problem though and I am genuinely happy for anyone losing

Ok, wasnt sure! Well in that case you need to join a thread which seems to have an overall approach that you can work with. Theres no point joining something which is low fat or low carb or low calorie if your body cant really respond to that

A calorie deficit is what you need but there are ways of creating that which will suit you better or worse

For example (while I sit here eating gateaux and cream) is generally speaking lower carb and high fat, higher (not high) protien.

A low fat diet is not for me, I would be ravenous.
