Weight GAIN

My mw is a bit concerned about my weight, i lost so much weight during pregnancy and since having my DD early March I have lost over a st and i didn't have much to lose. I know bf is to blame for a lot of the loss.

Anyone have any advice on how to gain weight? I know this isn't the norm but i find it hard having time to eat much and i'm a vegetarian too and quite healthy so not really likely to grab a pie on the go.

Anyone had a similar weight loss?

Yes, I can identify with you! I have a lung disease and when I get ill I can lose half a stone in a week or two. I am also a vegan.

The best ways to start gaining weight is to eat whenever you could manage something, so set out to eat something 4-6 times a day and that way you won't feel too full.

Exercise. Even though it burns off calories, it gives you a good appetite afterwards and also helps build muscle rather than packing on fat stores!

Add healthy fats to vegetables and grains, such as olive oil and flaxseed oil on salads and cooked veg. And peanut butter ect on toast and crackers.

Dried fruit and smoothies are easy to get down and give loads of nutrition although are sugary so best to combine with some raw almonds or similar.

Eat a decent breakfast as well as a nightime snack after dinner. Such as a cup of warm soymilk and some hobnobs/ a banana

Make homemade cakes and biscuits. Flapjack are a good idea for loads of slow release energy.

Hope that helps!
