Food noise and cravings back with a vengeance

Just that really.

I lost 4st on Mounjaro and I’m thrilled but I can’t afford to stay in a maintenance dose long term. Not sure if they’ll let me have a month every so often to nudge me back on track? I tried a few weeks ago but I had to send a photo and I basically wasn’t fat enough… I get that but I don’t WANT to get fat enough to need it!

I cannot stop eating.

Help!

Oddly enough before I went on MJ I used to
drink gallons of water and squash. The jabs seemed to reduce my need for so much drink as well as food but I’m back to drinking loads again. That’s obviously not a problem but it just struck me as interesting.

Could you join a slimming group to help you stay on track and get lots of tips about staying full whilst eating healthy, non fattening foods?

You could go onto wegovy if you've not had a long break.
Wegovy is working great for me and im still losing, from 10mg mj to 1.7mg and suppression is stronger but I don't get nausea or exhaustion and it's cheaper so I'm happy. I'm bmi 22.9 9st 1.9lbs and lost 2lbs in 3 weeks but will soon maintain at 9st.

It worked for me though didn't have WLI.
I think joining a club is absolutely great to help with losing and maintaining weight
A fun time lots of tips and making your self accountable.

Are you diabetic? Drinking loads is one of the signs of poor sugar control isn’t it?

dinesaurrawr · 14/12/2025 06:44

My appetite came back with a vengeance too, i couldn’t stop eating, it’s like my body wanted to make up for it or something ! I’ve put a stone back on

Could you try hypnotherapy? I used it for a phobia and it was remarkably effective. Am considering using it for chronic pain.

RachelFanshawe · 14/12/2025 08:31

Thanks all. I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic at one point in fact it was one of the reasons I started the jabs. But then lost 4 stone and went back into normal range.

You need to switch your mindset into maintenance mode.

Eat your daily TDEE. Continue to weigh every day, accept that you WILL regain maybe half a stone but that's mostly water weight (every molecule of carb attaches to 4 molecules of water) and is immaterial and unnoticeable.

Exercise and measure progress in terms of strength and what your body can do rather than the scales.

Mindset = 80/90% good is fine with food.

Also, eating more protein.
