It's OK to be a FAT mum, right?

OK, ironic as I have just mentioned on another post that I have only gained 5lbs and I'm 24 weeks pregnant. Well, I just weighed myself and I've now gained 8lbs. I think it has something to do with me eating everything in sight!!

Also, styling question thrown in for good measure... I went to tesco in a boob top and white linen trousers today, I know it sounds trashy but I was just SOOOO hot I couldn't face wearing a proper top! It's like a bikini top but a bit more... is this totally unacceptable? I got a few looks having my baby belly out!

Find your title a bit off actully.

Title is odd

Hold on, baby brain. I always stop mid question... I was asking if it's normal to have an increased appetite at this stage? I had NO cravings early on, just went off certain things but now I really can't stop eating!

I'm just worried I'm gonna get to 40 weeks and be so massive. I'm only young you see and I'm a bit self conscious about my figure and stuff. I know it's all part and parcel of having a baby but I'm wondering why I can't stop eating all of a sudden, maybe I'm lacking something in my diet?

So why isn't your title 'is it normal to have an increased appetite in pregnancy' not going on about your weight and your trashy outfit.
Yes your outfit sounds inappopriate for a 24wks pregnant lady but perhaps I'm old fashioned.

I don't know, I was in a bit of a zone and just typed - I'm sorry!

I've had a bad day, with the heat and all my friends out having a super fab time in next to nothing. I'm feeling a bit low. I guess I just don't have the good hormones circulating.

Didn't mean to offend.

perhaps I was just a bit jealous that you have only put on 8lbs at 24 weeks! At that rate I wouldn't worry too much at how big you will be after baby is born.

I used to wake up sooooo hungry in the middle of the night after 30 weeks, that I couldn't get back to sleep till I'd got up and gone downstairs for a big bowl of cornflakes. That was after eating all day!
