Is anyone following the Slimming World plan without going to group/doing it online?

Over the years I've joined Slimming World five times and then I've weakened each time and stopped going to group as I've told myself it's a waste of money each week when I'm not sticking to the plan. I really need to lose weight, not sure how much exactly, but would like to go down a few sizes in clothes at least.
My sister is getting married next year and has asked me to be her Maid of Honour. So, that should be enough to motivate me to lose weight shouldn't it?
So, why am I sat here eating bread, cheese and chocolate and drinking wine when I should be cutting down?
Everyday now for the past two weeks I've woken feeling motivated, got to mid-morning and weakened. I'm just so bad at this dieting lark.
I know Slimming World works, it's not a diet it's a healthy eating plan and you can have pretty much what you want. I just need to stop myself from eating a small piece of chocolate instead of the whole bar and one glass of wine instead of three.

Anyone been successful on SW going it alone?

I've tried doing it by myself as i'm familiar with the plan. It hasn't worked for me like that. I find the weekly weigh in motivates me to keep going, once I'm at target I'll go occasionally too.

Its hard isn't it, especially evenings when the munchies start. All I can say is, don't buy naughty stuff in and fill the fruit bowl up. I've been saving 5 or so syns for each evening so I can have one treat, ie small crisps/glass of wine etc...

Good luck!
