Need to drop a dress size for my upcomming holiday and just thinking what I can do....

Already going to the gym. Does the special k diet work? 2 bowls of cereal a day lus a proper balanced meal at lunch or evening??

Thinking of giving it a go after I have finished bfing....

well it will work because it limits calories
any diet that reduces calorie intake to lower than what you need, will result in weight loss
but you'll be bored, likely to 'cheat', and processed carbohydrate for 2 out of 3 meals a day isn't exactly going to leave you glowing with health

I tried it for two weeks. I lost....

  1. .

Have found best way for me is by either calory counting or being just really careful with what I eat. no crisps, sweets, chocolate, cake, biscuits etc. Bowl of cereal for breakfast, sandwich/salad for lunch and healthy dinner, or vice versa. drink lots of water (two ltr minimum) and do lots of exercise.

have lost 5 lb in just under two weeks.

what you eat won't affect your milk so you can diet away now. although if you are up all night and stuck on sofa all day bf then maybe your thoughts do stray to cake...

also as cereal is mainly carbs you'll get hungry quicker as carbs are burned quicker than protein.

Better off with porridge and fruit
soup and pitta
balanced protein and veg dinner
snacking on handful of nuts or veg sticks/ hummus or berries

Going to gym as well
excellent plan

Plus I think the diet plan states that you are to eat a 30 gram serving of the cereal. 30 grams of cereal is just about 2 mouthfuls!
