Hoping that posting this gives me the motivation to stick with something for once! I'm 36, 5"3 and 151lbs (weighed today). Size 10 on top, 12 on bottle and somewhere between hour glass and pear. Not brilliant at getting 5 a day.

Ideally I'd ultimately like to get to 125lbs but I think for September I'm going to set myself 5-10lb goal. I want to be less wobbly!

I'm going to try to stay at 1300kcal a day, increase fruit and veg and do some daily excersise - are there any recommendations for a daily (free) routine? I looked at the 30 day shred thread but it sounds a bit brutal? I'm not particularly fit! I'm also going to try to drink 2l water daily.

If anyone would like to join me please feel free to share progress and tips!

i’m late to the party but I will join you please! I had a very slow year but did eventually weigh in on my birthday around 9lbs down and I was under 11 stone for the first time in years. Then in the 3 weeks between my birthday and going on holiday I developed a nasty sinus infection, had a course of antibiotics and literally put on the entire 9lbs I had lost plus a little more, and have really struggled to lose anything since returning home. FFS 🤦‍♀️ I still feel really run down and under the weather, my period has arrived today but I was 7 days late and I just feel really crappy to be honest, really tired and generally pretty demotivated. I’m 5’7 and 11st7.5lbs. I lose weight really slowly at the best of times but my goal is to lose a pound a week til Christmas.

I am trying a more nutrition led approach- no sugar, no junky bread products or UPF things especially those wrapped up as healthy (nut bars. Protein shakes etc) and just eating actual food made from ingredients. I’m not going to count calories this week so long as what I eat is real food, just to reset myself a bit, then maybe I will consider dropping calories. I did day 1 yesterday, had a stinking detox headache last night, but slept well and feel a bit brighter today.

my menu today is:
apple cider vinegar in juice
chia pot with fruit and seeds
homemade scotch egg with salad
chicken curry with lots of veg instead of rice
fruit for snacks or boiled eggs

Welcome @thenewaveragebear1983👋 It sounds like you have a good plan. I’ve had a good day - played badminton, 10,000+ steps and ate a rainbow of fruit and vegetables.

How's everyone doing?

I'm still managing to keep to calories, I've realised I snack if I'm not really hungry so have been trying to be mindful of that and just have a drink or something instead which is hard but I'm hoping might become habit!

Morning, I’m still on track. Managed 10,000+ steps everyday and a Pilates and kettlebell class this week. I’ve also signed up to a two week free kung fu class! First one is on Monday!

Hi 👋 I have just been focussing this week on nutrition and not counting calories, I’m on day 5 today and I’ve had no bread or sugar all week, no alcohol and the only dairy I have had has been a little sprinkle of cheese and a small amount of real butter. I feel so much better already, much less brain fog and general tiredness, I’ve slept really well and been a lot less anxious. And I have lost 2lbs!

How’s everyone going? My weekend wasn’t very good steps wise but I’m back on track now. Kung fu was fun on Monday evening and I’m off to a boxing workout class after school drop off today.

As predicted, fell off the wagon and back to 149lbs 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have zero self discipline, and now I'm a week pre period which is a normal carb and cheese craving week so I don't hold out much hope
