Switching from mounjaro to wegovy

With the upcoming price rises my supplier has given me the option of switching to wegovy as its going to be much cheaper.

Has anyone else made this switch?

Will you share how its gone for you?

I've been on mounjaro for 10 months and have lost 5 stone and am currently on 15mg. Hoping to lose one more stone before maintaining.

Thanks

You’re doing so well on MJ - so I’d be thinking of switching after losing the next stone then use wegovy for maintenance. Also interested in how effective it is to switch at this stage.

I’ve got 2 more pens to use before the switch.

plus I’m with voy who are expensive. With the price rise mj will be over £300 and wegovy £140.

I feel I can’t justify the price

I'm going to go to wegovy after ive finished my 3 pens in the fridge. Can't afford not too. Following for people who have already done this

You don’t have to stay with them, I would wait until you are down to one pen before thinking about what to do. You will have a much better idea of how prices are going to be by then.

I had to switch as mj too expensive. I lost almost 7 stone with injections but now

Catsknowbest · 16/10/2025 19:41

I've got 7 more Mounjaro 5mg doses left and my Wegovy is being delivered tomorrow. Could not justify the hike in Mounjaro. I have lost 1st 2lb since 1st Aug which has been quite slow but I'm happy to be patient

Me too, Wegovy is on way, 7 more weeks left on MJ

I switched to Wegovy 2 weeks ago (MJ - 5mg since May. 2 stone gone but 2st 10lbs in total from pre-jabs)

I started on .50mg, first week no real side affects, bit more food noise but I was away for the weekend so ate/drank a bit more than I normally would. Didn't really enjoy alcohol (same as MJ). Noticed that I ate all my evening meals so reduced food suppression. (We are talking jacket potato, salad and tin of salmon!)
Jabbed for 2nd time last night. Have woken up feeling mildly nauseous... Can't stomach coffee.

I'm definitely mentally in the zone, if I wasn't then I think I could chow down for England 😬

I'm determined it's going to work and I know that the mere fact I don't fancy my weekly glass (ok...bottle!) of wine means that it's working.... I don't fancy anything savoury (cheese, bread, sausage rolls are my goto).

It's like MJ but weaker, ultimately you have to address your eating habits whilst you have and use the jab boosting superpower 😀

I'm still trying to eat protein in my 2 meals a day (brunch and dinner). Boiled eggs, soya beans, chicken, fish and turkey are my best friends)

Hope that helps 😘

Really useful, thanks for sharing 😊and trust me to be due to transition in Dec of all months 🤣 but I think what I've already achieved will I hope help me resist any increased food noise 🙏🙏
