Hi,

I have lost 26 kg, because DH didn't find me attractive anymore. Now I am at 70kg, and DH is complaining about how he isn't finding attractive anymore. I don't know what to do. He doesn't like me obese , he doesn't like me average?

What does he look like ?
I think you should tell him to leave, horrid man.

poppy48 · 16/08/2025 17:55

Personally I'd tell him you don't care what he thinks as you stopped fancying him ages ago. I wouldn't put up with those mind games x

Translation - he hated you being fat because he thought you were an embarrassment in front of other men and made you feel insecure.

Now you are slim/slimmer he is insecure that other men ill find you attractive and you will leave him.

Dump him.

As above. I had all this. Lost a lot of weight (slimming world). Husbands attitude changed and he ended up leaving me. I wasn't sorry.

I’m 5ft 6 and 125 lbs 57k
at 67 kilos I looked and felt overweight even though objectively I wasn’t
always had a tiny waist / flat stomach
it depends on how & where you carry the weight

Bumblebeehive · 16/08/2025 18:01

It wasn’t about your weight, he was trying to sow the seeds for a reason to leave you without him being to blame.

Well done for losing weight OP!

Hopefully you feel more comfortable, better emotionally & are also healthier.
I am struggling to loose half a stone so I know it is not easy.

Your husband's attitude raises red flags for some of the reasons other posters have mentioned. What you have achieved over a period of time is amazing & your hubby should be supporting & congratulating you.

If there's another reason he is not in to you, he needs to be honest & not blame you for how he feels. He needs to be honest...you also need to look at him & what he has or hasn't achieved whilst you were loosing weight.

You have done so well...for your self confidence and your long term health. Don't let your DH put you down or settle for anything less than him supporting you 100%.

Stay strong & focused....you have done so well xx
