RENPHO scales

Does anyone use RENPHO digital scales?

When I get weighed the scales are set to Lbs. My app is set to Stones and Lbs. My weight on the app is always 2-3lb heavier than what it shows on the scales.

For instance scales show 163.2lb, the app tells me I'm 11'9lb. When I calculate it 163.2 = 11 stone 6 pounds.

I have Googled and cannot seem to find a definitive answer as to why there is a discrepancy.

It’s because there are 14 pounds in a stone. 163.2 lbs is 11.6 stone which is 11 stone 9 pounds.

11.5 stone is 11 stone 7lbs.

And so on.

Yes I have the scales and weight on the app and the scales are the same. You probably need to reset the scales to show stone and pounds.

The scales don't show in Stones and pounds only Pounds or Kg. I've re calibrated them and it's still the same. My partner's weight is exactly the same on both the scales and the app.

@Glammar , my scales show stone and pounds so 10.19 is ten stone one pound and 9oz etc

I have the same scales and set it to stones and pounds. Read the manual 😆. And yes, you are getting confused between the number of pounds left over after dividing 163.2 by 14 with what those pound represents as a percentage of a stone. As said 11.5 stone (for example) is 11 and 1/2 stone which is 11 stone 7lb. Your .6 of a stone is just over 8lbs

I’ve just checked on my app and it’s doing the same as yours when I changed my app settings to st+lbs. When I changed my app settings to st it displayed the lb number divided by 14 so the number I’d expect.

Thankyou I've just changed it to St, and it makes sense now!
