Where are people buying it, what is the dosing regimen, and is it doing anything for you?

I'm 40, 5ft, 9st1 and have just under a stone to lose to be healthy, but my snack/sugar cravings are terrible. I have always been this way and I'm fed up living off sugar!

I bought some on amazon from a uk company called smug supplements, one tablet/5900mcg a day, but it didn't do anything for me unfortunately. Maybe I should have been more patient, not sure how long it usually takes for an effect

9st 1 and 5ft? Is this correct? You should be quite a low bmi as I'm 5ft 3 and 10st 0.5lbs and bmi 24.8 which is normal.

Those 3 inches make a big difference to bmi. Even at 5ft 3 like me too, if we were 9st1 …I wish!!! 8/1 is still within healthy! So defo will be for 3 inches less. That’s a big difference in height

I have the same bmi as you, just under 25. But I look overweight, every lb makes a huge difference at my height. My friends laugh at me when I say I need to lose weight. I'm a size 8 and they say I'm tiny. But I have a big belly and I'm just out of proportion as my actual frame is very small. Just too many wobbles but I have no motivation. Dropping 10lb would literally transform me.

I tried berberine, I got it off amazon, I felt it worked for a bit, 2 tablets with a pint of water in the morning and for the first few weeks I got 1lb off. It is worth a try, what i read online about it was it is a slow process to get weight off.

That's fine, but you said a stone to lose to be healthy but bmi 24.8 is within the healthy range. It sounded like you were overweight that's all. Also a size 8 is tiny. I'm a size 12 at bmi 24.8

I found it worked after I took it but by the end of the day I was really craving carbs. What’s worked way better for has been fibre supplements in my protein shake- absolute game changer for me. My sugar cravings are almost completely gone and losing a steady pound a week after a 6 month plateau.

DairyM1ilk · 19/07/2025 07:27

Berberine from amazon 3 times a day
Upping protein
Upping fibre
Also Chromium Picolinate once a day

Kissedbyfire1 · 19/07/2025 07:42

Tried it but had to stop because it gave me the shits.

@thenewaveragebear1983 which fibre supplements please?

I use one from Amazon called Well within, it contains soluble and insoluble fibre. I add 2 scoops to my protein shake, I also on alternate days add 1tbsp chia seeds soaked in water. Stick it all in the nutribullet with frozen fruit and water and it’s great. You need to drink it straight away though if it gets very thick, and drink loads of water during the day.

How are you all finding the berberine?
