I'm starting slimfast tomorrow

I know its not the healthiest way or going to set me up for a healthy longer term diet. I also know there are other meal replacement shakes available that might be better if I research. But I am so sick of being overweight and in need of a quick, easy to follow fix that I know works for me! I've done it before for my wedding in 2016.

My issue with a proper low calorie diet is that I hate to cook, have ARFID (my diet is basically beige kids food) and have a toddler and baby so just don't find the time - particularly to exercise!

Anyone else doing or plan to do Slimfast for some solidarity/accountability?

I'm currently 11.5 stone (ish as I haven't weighed myself in a couple of weeks) and want to get down to 9 stone, hopefully this year but in the very long term by my next birthday in July 2026!! My plan is to do slimfast for a while and then phase in healthy meals instead of the shakes once my baby is bigger and I can cook the same meals for all of us

If it works for you then go for it OP.
I once read on here that someone had lost around 10 stones and kept it off but it was all prepacked/microwave meals, so not healthy, but it worked.
Maybe you can also try that?

Hey, good luck. I have lost 30 kilos over the past 2.5 years. The first step for me was to cut our carbs and aim for a 1 kilo loss a week. Then, just before Christmas 2023, my sister and I started the Cambridge Diet (121, I think it's called now). I found it great as I weighed weekly with the consultant and didn't need to count any calories. It really helped with my weight loss. I then plateaued and did Mounjaro , and I have managed to keep it all off.

Would you consider the Cambridge diet easier with a consultant tracking your weight loss?

Did you start? I’m starting tomorrow, 11stone 10lbs here and wanting to get down to 9.5lbs.

Like you I’m a busy mum, I do however cook and love to cook a varied diet, so I eat lots of healthy foods. The damage I do is constant eating crackers, breads, treats etc. I cannot resist do trying this to see if it can get rid of the hunger.

Starting tomorrow, got my shakes and meal bars, got a lot to loose, I’m initially doing it for three weeks then I’m on holiday so will still have a shake for breakfast but will have to muddle through the rest of the time, then hopefully back on it properly. I chose Slimfast as not much thinking is involved.

@crazycatladie Good luck, you’ll have to keep me posted. I’ve never tried shakes before so I’m nervous!

The not thinking part is the biggest thing that attracted me to Slim Fast too as I want to try and get rid of the constant food noise about what I’m going to eat, I shouldn’t eat it, then I end up feeling guilty, eat even more and think about what I’ll eat tomorrow to be ‘better’.

I want to see if the pre made element helps with that.
