I am happy about my cold btw

there are some theories around ME that suggest it artificially heightens your immune system

and it is true I have not had a cold since Sept when I first got ill

so maybe is good sign of long term recovery

Tutter · 27/05/2008 12:28

how does it affect you? do you have good days and bad? or do you have longer good/bad periods than that?

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 27/05/2008 13:25

yes tutter it is up and down

good days and bad

good weeks and bad

mum and dh tell me that it is getting better overall tho; I think I'm too close to tell

Pradamark · 28/05/2008 11:37

Please can I be quiche-y too?
My youngest DD is 3.5yrs and I am wanting to lose about 3.5 stones.

Joined a gym and got wii fit, but mostly sit eating stuff in evenings cos tele is too good. okay, okay, I'm lazy, but really just need some encouragement and you guys seem to be The Business!

Cappuccino · 28/05/2008 14:08

oh prada if only you knew

we are useless really

but you are welcome to be useless with us

today I have had breakfast, two lemsips, soup and two Tunnocks Caramel Wafers

one for each lemsip

Pradamark · 28/05/2008 15:14

I've been force fed sweeties by my very generous 3yr old, well 3 jelly teddies that had me searching through the kitchen for more sweet stuff!

My current (worst) vice is a big packet of giant buttons every evening - supposed to share with DH, but am getting increasingly possessive!

I'm afraid my problem is just food. I love food. Breakfast, lunch and a good meal for dinner, and all the things inbetween! I love home cooked, good old meat & veg, and crappy takeaways, fish & chips, crusty bread and really good cheese, chocolate and sweets, all berry fruits, fresh salad and cakes. I'm never stuck for choice when I diet, just hate limiting my ration .

I think exercise is my key, but I need the motivation to get orf my lardy backside and move!

Cap - you tried day/night nurse or does the lemsip work for you?

Cappuccino · 29/05/2008 09:58

prada you made me laugh about the sweets

I think once you start you can't stop, it's that old rollercoaster sugar thing

if I eat healthily for a day or two I don't want 'bad' things at all; but when I am bad, I am very very bad

I have been on some very restrictive diets in the past year and each time found that I could live without almost everything - except coffee...

I will do better today tho - I have brought a banana to work with me rather than a bar of Galaxy...

Tutter · 29/05/2008 10:00

oh capp

i am ashamed

i started the thread but have been shockingly bad the last few days

i'm an all-or-nothing girl wrt health and food

am stressed about house move and consoling myself in banana cake and pains au chocolat

hi prada - sorry to have lured you here under false pretences

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 29/05/2008 10:06

oh don't you worry tutt me and prada are on a roll now

we are really going for it

oh yeah

Cappuccino · 29/05/2008 10:06

(pains au chocolat you say?)

()

Pradamark · 29/05/2008 15:21

LOL Capp, my willpower's a bit rocky!

Not too bad today so far... maybe a little too much cheese on my toast, but no sweets (yet). Mainly because DD3 was caught sneaking sweets before dinner yesterday - then couldnt manage dinner, so no sweets today so no donation to the sweet tooth mummy cause.

Not a hope in hell DD1 or DD2 would share!

Ooooh Tutter, banana cake... have a recipe for that somewhere ...

HighheelsandHandbags · 31/05/2008 01:16

Pssst, have changed my name - was Pradamark but today have been suspected of being TDWP, so have namechanged.

HighheelsandHandbags · 31/05/2008 23:33

Well, I think I need to do something pretty drastic.

Can't afford gastric band surgery, so I'm going to give up chocolate and bbq flavoured pringles completely - because I can't just have a few!

So today I've eaten my last large bag of giant buttons and my last half tube of bbq pringles.

Roll on slender me!

How you lot doing?

How's the cold Capp?

Tutter, how's your house move going? More banana cake needed?

HighheelsandHandbags · 01/06/2008 21:38

Now I'm a thread killer.

Cappuccino · 02/06/2008 11:09

no you are not here I am

I had a bad weekend due to camping

but I am back now

bit snotty, but back

and I have had oats, an orange and a banana

HighheelsandHandbags · 03/06/2008 16:38

On the mend then eh?

Well I've been and done the weekly shopping. I bought lots of lovely fruit and veg and fresh meat. (and some gorgeous fresh bread and mature cheddar, and a banoffee pie)

However, I will only get a fifth of the pie, so it can't be too bad!!

Cappuccino · 03/06/2008 16:41

yes lemsip days are over

I have bought a watermelon
