How much does your past traumas affect your weight?

I’m just wondering what people think about how much their past or present trauma is affecting their weight?

It’s probably not groundbreaking to think like that - but it hit me like a bolt from the blue last night.

I’m meeting up with distant family soon and I realised that since they last saw me I’ve suffered lots of challenges- and it just seemed so obvious that it is all showing in my body.

I suffered for about 20 years all in, and am still generally struggling with loss of confidence etc.

so I basically look like I feel. Even though I know all the theory of healthy lifestyle- I am probably the healthiest I’ve ever been in terms of diet and exercise.

but I think the build up of decades of stress and the menopause is making me massively overweight with terrible posture.

it’s a shame as I was attractive when I was younger and I keep on thinking I’m going to bounce back- but instead I’m getting heavier.
