I was 17 stone and last time I weighted myself 6 weeks ago I was 14. This has happened over 6 months, I'm eating the same 4 to 5 foods on repeat because the pain of attacks is awful. However I need more energy to work and just life in general. I've no idea how long I'm going to wait for surgery. I'm mainly eating veg any ideas of anything I can tailor to give me different food choices and a bit more energy, I have brain fog when I try and think about it.

Yes, I lost 3 stone - I’ve had my surgery now and am maintaining. I was ok with bread and pasta, try them? It’s awful, hope you get yours evicted soon.

@Queenage I cant eat pasta it sets me off I can eat one slice of best of both bread or flat bread in total each meal has to be less than 4 grammes of fat. Im so glad you have had your surgery I cant wait to have mine, I have had to cut my hours down at work, I'm a carer and it's very demanding and when I go home I feel so ill after each shift. I need to lose more weight but im hoping and praying I cam maintain I dont want to gain after

OP, before I had my gallstones taken out, I just followed a low fat diet. That doesn’t mean no fat, it just means you have to be careful - and yes, I did lose weight. If you follow the same diet afterwards, you will continue to lose weight - but easier said than done when you can go back to eating what you like!

@sesquipedalian this is so true I want to keep on my journey and feel well again

Yes, I lost quite a lot of weight during the 8 months I waited for surgery, as I was eating very low fat. If I ate more than about 10g of fat at a sitting I was in pain. I put it back on afterwards though.

@AllProperTeaIsTheft I would love not too if I'm honest. I guess I will just have to be very strict
