Am I being ridiculous?

This is my first time posting on Mumsnet so here goes....
I am 67, gave up smoking about 3 years ago and my weight has gradually increased. I have gained about 10lb taking me to just under 9 stone. My BMI is 23 which is within the healthy weight ratio BUT..... I have gone from a size 8 to a 10 and creeping towards a 12 with a big tummy and rolls of waist fat, much bigger bottom and thighs. I know it sounds a bit pathetic but it is making me really fed up. I try to watch what I eat and count calories but I don't seem to be able to lose an ounce!

Kindly... yes.
9 stone and bmi 23 is very much "healthy"

Very honestly at your age a bit of condition is no bad thing and being underweight can be an issue if you get ill.
