Anyone want to lose a stone with me?

Looking for support.

Post mounjaro (6 months) and regained a stone that I would like to shift before it escalates anymore!

Not sure what approach I will take, probably calorie counting and walking.

Will start tomorrow (I have some biscoff icecream to finish 🤣)

Im Australian and we use kg . Can you tell me how much 1 stone is in kg? Im struggling to keep up with everyone with how much people are losing or gaining... im following another group called "alot of weight to lose", if your interested. Im trying to lose around 25kg and happy to follow along with your journey. I do weight watches right now so not exactly calorie counting but its a points system but iv been so busy the last couple of weeks iv barely logged anything, not that I have had much to log. Im currently sitting around 88kg. I started off at 96kg give or take a couple hundred grams. I started off at 65kg before having my last child in 2024 but hit perimenopaus once I had her and well it all went down hill from there. Between the pregnancy and hormones issues I had gained 30kg and there was nothing I could do to stop it. So now I just keep trying to push on not really getting anywhere lol..

I just did a google search what stone to kg is. Don't know why I didn't think of that sooner. So I think for me it looks like i have about 4 stone to lose.

Bilikeas · 08/06/2025 11:38

I think a stone is about 6kg.

I have previously lost 8 stone (48kg) and have been on threads where people have large amounts to lose but I was just hoping to find people who just have a little to drop.

Im currently 140lbs and I find it gets more difficult to shift when you are close to goal. Am also perimenopausal and on meds that don't help with weight issues!

I also want to lose a stone.

I lost 3 stone about 10 years ago in my 40s doing 5:2 and calorie counting.
I went from nearly 12 to 9 stone, which was a bit light for me, I'd been aiming for 9.5-10 but then DH died and I carried on - in retrospect as something I could control.

Anyway, I've been around 10-10.5 since but then crept up to 11 recently and having lost a few pounds when ill a few months ago and then put them on again I'm determined to get back down to 10.

I started on Monday, again doing 5:2 as it works for me. I just need to reset and stop eating all the sweet food which is what is why I've been gaining.

I've also started doing a daily pilates app routine, although it is very easy going atm.

Im so sorry for your loss

The sweet stuff is my downfall too. How many calories is 5.2?

Normal TTDE calories on the 5 days (for me around 1,600 - I'm 5'7 and 11 stone), and then 500 calories on the 2 very low calorie days - but I tend to do about 600.

I rarely eat breakfast as eating too early makes me feel sick, and definitely don't on v low calorie days. Maybe have an apple mid morning.
Lunch: can of veg soup, used to be Baxters Med Tomato that was 128cal but they've changed the recipe and price is ridiculous so it's now a 200cal Aldi 65p one.
Evening meal: chicken breast cut into cubes or strips, peppers, red onion wedges and plum tomatoes roasted (airfryer now) with some sweet chilli marinade.
Or a big plate of cauliflower, a few new potatoes with a bit of butter and a chicken breast (this takes it over the 600 with the soup) or 3 fish fingers (which is about 75 cal less).

I use My Fitness Pal to log everything, and set my goal to "maintain", given the 2 v low calories days should be driving the weight loss as long as I stick to the 1,600 on the other 5 days.
Interestingly MFP gives me a TDEE of 1,860 whereas a TDEE calculator is 1,593.

How are you getting on Bilikeas?

marmi · 17/06/2025 19:11

I'm in! Starting tomorrow. Hate the way I look today and feel I'm putting on then losing the same half a stone!

I'm desperate to lose a stone but need to do it slow and steady for it to work.

Starting cal counting, drinking more water and moving more. 50 years old and want to be at my best now instead of faffing about!
