Hi all, I started my weight loss journey in January this year at 15 stone 8 pounds, I have managed to get myself down to 11 stone 9 pounds so far but would really like to hit my goal weight of 10 stone (or as close to) by August for our family holiday. Is this doable?

Wow you’ve done really well. But I think the final bit is often the slowest. Keep going - even if you don’t quite make your goal you’ll still have made good progress and I bet you’ll look fantastic. How did you lose your weight? I’m just at the start of my journey.

I’m aiming to drop a dress size by end of July. We got the holiday cases down yesterday and my clothes no longer fit. I have gained a stone since March, not sure how! But I want to get into last summers clothes!

I did a meal plan for a week but it seems expensive for one person, DH won’t bother with my plan although we will have the same most days as evening meals so will need to double up on some stuff.

Starting weight (Yesterday around 4pm 13st 4, but this morning was 13st 0.5)

Posting never works as I lack accountability but I cannot be buying loads of new clothes!

ETA I did try on these clothes as we were heading to bed and we had over indulged on a Chinese! I have an inflammatory bowel disease which means I often bloat so last night wasn’t the best time to try. They were still too small though and that’s what I need to change.

@Fatrosrhun@Fatrosrhun Thank you! I’m still averaging a 2.5lb loss most weeks (sometimes more) but there has been a couple of weeks more recently where the scale hasn’t budged at all which can be very frustrating, although a few days eating off plan tends to get the scale moving in the right direction again.

I am doing OMAD which I found really challenging for the first week until my body adjusted to it, now it’s easy as I don’t feel hungry until dinner time. I used to be a 3 meal a day serial snacker!
For exercise I was getting 10k steps a day but have increased it to 20k since buying a walking pad a couple of weeks ago. I use it on an evening in front of the tv!

Just checking in. Morning weigh in today 12st 7.75lb. So 6.5 off in 3 weeks. How are you getting on?

@CursiveCrisisYou're doing great, well done! I weighed in this morning at 11st 5lbs exactly. Progress is slower now but something is better than nothing. Are you doing any exercise?

You’re doing amazing! I’m not doing any exercise, I did have the intention of doing some but haven’t got around to it yet.

12st 5 this morning. Feels very slow coming off now but I did have a night out last week and the week before so I am not being too hard on myself. Aiming for 12st 3 next week and then hopefully 12st for the 24th. How are you getting on?

CursiveCrisis · 09/07/2025 07:44

12st 3.5. Still moving in the right direction. I do feel like I am getting bored now though. I need to shift 3.5 in 2 weeks to have hit my first goal. We have a 2 week holiday in the summer which will stop the loss for say 3 weeks (allowing a week to reset when I’m home) and would like to be less than 11st 6 when I return to work in September. I think that may be a hard goal, but let’s do it. Hoping for lower end of 10st club for Christmas.
