I am a (good) stone overweight, the biggest I’ve ever been, and getting bigger every week.
My clothes don’t fit and I feel rubbish about myself.

I need somewhere to be accountable, but I fall off other threads because I lose track and don’t always have time to be as supportive as the other posters. So then I feel guilty and trail off 🙈

Anyone else in the same boat, feel free to join! You don’t need to be polite or ask about anyone’s day if you’ve no time - I’m just going to post what I eat each day and what exercise, and if it was good day or not. I will weigh on Wednesdays.

I’m 60.5kg today. I’m 5’1 and my healthy and happy weight is 54kg. So that is the goal 🙂

👋 hi.

im 1.5 stone over which has crept on over the course of my 3 year divorce which sadly still isn’t over but final hearing at court is scheduled for September and I want to be ME again by then ready to start my new life.

im not going to weigh in regularly but use the mirror and my clothes as a guide and weigh in monthly.

I’ve been doing well since I started this 3 weeks ago. Healthier meals, no snacking and upping my exercise.

Yesterday wasn’t a great day for me exercise wise as I had to travel for a training course so didn’t do my stint on the eliptical but I squeezed in an online Pilates class when I got back at 8pm last night.

breakfast was skipped as I was on the road at 6:30
lunch was orzo and sundried tomato salad (not brilliant but ok)
dinner was a bulgar wheat with lots of veg salad and a piece of chicken.

water and mint tea

today will be better exercise wise.

ive already done 40 mins on the eliptical and going to a Pilates class on the way to work.

lunch is a team lunch out but will chose the healthiest thing I can.

dinner is fish and stir fried veg

Vegncream · 23/05/2025 13:25

Hi all, I’m 5ft 2 and 65Kg. Aiming for 61Kg by end of summer . I started off as 81KG so I’m nearly there -ish 😌

I have been doing 5-7K steps a day, intermittent fasting with a 12-8pm eating window and was planning on starting the gym this weekend, but my period has started today. I’m not craving sugar like I usually do when I’m on, but that may be because I had a sugar binge on Wednesday.

I had fried eggs with potato slices earlier and for dinner I’ll have brown rice, salmon and veg. Had melon for a snack, and may make a smoothie later if I do fancy something else.

Hello!! Good luck!!

Yesterday was a medium day for me. Not great, but not dreadful. Did well until teatime when I ended up eating crisps and then ice cream.

Hopefully today will be better! It needs to be!

Here too. Bigger than you all at 81kg this morning and I’d actually like to be 60-65. In fact this time last year I was 70kg so it’s not going the right way at all. But here goes. Again. Jumping on the peloton to kick the day off! Let’s do this…..

Kittkats · 24/05/2025 10:22

I’ll join. 5’6” and 11stone 7 (75kg). I was 13 stone at the end of February- my heaviest ever! Ideally I want to get back to my pre lockdown 10stone, but my first goal is 11stone to get back in the healthy BMI range. No real plan besides smaller portions, less wine, more walking and don’t eat unless hungry!

PutTheCakeDOWN · 24/05/2025 22:30

Hello all and good luck!!

Today was dreadful for me. I just can’t stop eating ☹️

All I can do is try again tomorrow! 🤞

@KittkatsHi, almost exactly the same stats as you. I haven’t been 10 stone something since mind 30s, 45 now, do you think 10 stone is a good weight for. 5 6?

Hank86 · 24/05/2025 23:01

I’d love to join you all. need to lose around 1.5 stone to get back to the weight I feel happy at, but seem to have zero willpower. managed to get back to pre baby twice, only to pile it all back on again and more! SIGH! Current stats: height 5ft5, weight 11st 12lb. Would love to get back to 10st 7lb by August. Unrealistic maybe, but it would be great to see the scales moving in the right direction…!

Greenfingers37 · 24/05/2025 23:06

Following with interest x

Vegncream · 24/05/2025 23:22

My sleeping pattern was off today so my meals and snacks were all over the place. Just one meal but I had so many snacks. Not sure if I overate or not.

I’m on my period so I do allow myself a couple of days where I eat more if the cravings are strong.

But tomorrow is a new day and all that - back to eating 2 meals and one snack a day!

scaredysquiggle · 25/05/2025 06:58

Yesterday (Saturday) was a disaster. Out all day with friends - brunch, cinema snacks and dinner out and no exercise.

feel lethargic and bloated this morning.

1984Winston · 25/05/2025 07:44

I'm 5.2, currently weigh 94.5kg, was 99kg when I started trying to lose weight, I'm losing very slowly! I started an exercise class at the beginning of the year, haven't missed a week since I started, trying to cut down on how much alcohol I have although this week has been rubbish as had a night out, I've also got quite an active hobby that I've been doing more of lately, I definitely feel a bit fitter. I don't drive so walk everywhere anyway. I've also been trying to skip lunch as much as possible. I do think I have a rubbish metabolism and I'm 41 which doesn't help but im quite determined this time round, I had a really bad last year with bereavements and a cancer scare and think this has put me I the right frame of mind

Fat2FitAt40 · 25/05/2025 14:11

I'm 5'7 and, as of yesterday, weigh 14st 4lbs (size 16), which is by far the biggest I've ever been! Pre-kids/Covid I was 11st (size 12) but since having DC (my youngest is now 3), I've struggled to lose the excess weight. I'm now 40 and really need to slim down because it's impacting my mental health negatively and I've noticed over the past few weeks that my knees hurt. I've never had joint issues before so am guessing it's weight related. I downloaded the NHS Weight Loss App yesterday and am determined to get back to 11/11.5st as this is where I look and feel my best. I've managed to lose a lot of weight in the past using faddy diets - meal replacement shakes, keto, etc. But they aren't sustainable and I end up putting the weight back on. I really need to overhaul my lifestyle which feels quite overwhelming.

scaredysquiggle · 25/05/2025 14:33

Hello everyone.

back on track today. Went for my usual Sunday jog/run and did an online Pilates class when I came back.

small breakfast of a banana and some vitamins. We are having a roast at 4 so I’m hoping that will mean just one meal for me today. Getting hungry and resisting the urge to snack.

Kittkats · 25/05/2025 18:54

@ymemanresu I hope so! Mid 30s I was 8 stone 12 and starting to look gaunt: I’d just has my 4th dc, the eldest was 7 and I hardly had time to eat. I remember actually liking my body around 9 and a half stone, but not sure that’s achievable at my age (47) so aiming for 10!

Kittkats · 25/05/2025 18:57

Just one meal today. Lasagne and salad. I swear I had about two thirds of my normal portion but I feel like I just ate Christmas dinner! Admittedly it isn’t the healthiest choice….

Fat2FitAt40 · 26/05/2025 14:14

It's only been 2 days but I weighed myself this morning and have dropped 6lbs. I'm aware this will be water weight but it's still a great motivator. I've been having 1400 calls a day, no UPF. I'm drinking 6-8 tall glasses of water with a slice of lemon and have reduced my caffeine intake. I've not even been that hungry but I do have a cracking headache. Looking forward to my first official weigh day (Friday). Hope everyone is doing well.

scaredysquiggle · 26/05/2025 16:25

Well done - it’s a great motivator.

another not so great day for me - hormonal hungry. I think I’m going to get on the scales and see what’s going on.

Fat2FitAt40 · 30/05/2025 07:00

I started on Saturday but the NHS app is telling me to weigh in on Fridays, so...

SW: 14st 4lbs
CW: 13st 10lbs
Week 1: - 8lbs

It's a very good start! I don't even feel like I've been missing out (like I usually do). Not been hungry either due to the increase in protein. My headache passed pretty quickly and I'm feeling good.

Now all of the water weight has gone, I'll be happy if I can lose another 2lbs in week 2. Hope everyone else is doing well.

PutTheCakeDOWN · 30/05/2025 07:52

I haven’t been doing well at all, but today I’m going to really try!!

OP posts:
Fat2FitAt40 · 06/06/2025 07:01

SW: 14st 4lbs
CW: 13st 6lbs
Week 1: - 8lbs
Week 2: - 4lbs
Total loss to date: 12lbs

Better than expected considering it's my TOTM.
