Starting the 75 Hard tomorrow, anyone fancy joining me?

So I’ve been seeing a lot of the 75 Hard being toted about and fancy giving it a go! I’m starting tomorrow and am quite excited. I think there is also a 75 Soft version which you are welcome to join with too! It’s a lighter version of the plan.

I think the rules are as follows (but not absolutely sure so feel free to tell me I’m wrong!)

Lasts for 75 days. If you miss any tasks or have alcohol or a cheat meal you go back to day one!

2x45min exercise sessions each day- one of which has to be outside

Take a progress photo each day

No alcohol

Follow some sort of diet - I’m calorie counting to 1750 kcals

Read 10 minutes of a non-fiction self-help type book each day

Drink a gallon of water (works out as 3.78litres I think)

75 days takes me up to the 12th July I think, which fits in nicely before the summer holiday!

Day 1 over and done with! Struggled most with the water, 3.5 litres is an astounding amount. I just about did it with half a litre to go for the evening but didn’t leave any space for anything else… which I suppose is rather the point!
Read Ultra-processed-people which is a good read, puts me in a diet mindset. Exercise wise I did 2 hours of walking overall which covers my 2x 45 mins so happy with everything ticked off for today!

@TheGirlWhoLivedwell done for making it through your first day! I’ve literally just finished but from experience, you might want to check the water intake part, the gallon is based on a man’s average optimal intake but the average woman’s works out about a litre less - drinking the full gallon can be dangerous from what I read 😂 I just adjusted the water and followed the rest. For me the adrenaline carried me a week, then it was a week of slog until the routine kicked in. Good luck!

@Bodonka well that makes a whole lot of sense! Didn’t even think to check if there was a male/female version. I’m going to readjust to 2.5 litres which seems much more manageable, luckily it was warm here today.

how do you feel after finishing the whole 75?!

I mean, I’m definitely enjoying not counting calories any more 😂 (that’s also the ‘diet’ I chose!) but overall I think it set me up with some pretty good habits. My mind is constantly working out the next workout opportunity I can squeeze in so I don’t get stuck walking on the walking pad in the evenings 😂
