What is lowest BMI permitted before having to stop Mounjaro?

Hi there,

Have just ordered my first ever dose of Mounjaro, and I am wondering when it is likely my provider might say that I cannot continue due to my BMI being in the healthy range.

In an ideal world I would like to get my BMI to the lower end of the healthy range (it is currently approx 32 so there is a way to go). My provider is Boots if that holds any relevance.

Any insight on this?

It depends on the provider, some will allow ongoing maintenance as long as your BMI isn't below a certain point eg 22. You'd have to ask Boots what their policy is, if it isn't in any of the information that they have already sent you or that is available on their website.

As an aside, Boots are one of the most expensive pharmacies for Mounjaro, charging £228.99 for the 2.5mg dose. Many providers are charging around £100 less than that! Have a look at the price comparison site https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/ if you haven't seen it before.

I don't know but a health BMI is between 18.5 and 25 so I imagine it is somewhere in between there.

My goal is 22.5 BMI and that is logged on my provider's app and theyve not said there is anything wrong with that.
