I haven't tried that. I have type 2 diabetes and I take apple cider vinegar capsules and dihydroberberine capsules about 30 minutes before lunch (which is my most spiky meal) and it seems to help, but only in combination with all the other stuff I do like low-ish carb, high protein, high fibre food, medication and a bit of exercise within 30 minutes of eating. It's not so effective that I can throw caution to the wind and have anything I fancy. I also sporadically take a cinnamon and chromium supplement but not timed around food, and I'm not convinced that it makes all that much difference to me, when I run out and don't replace it for five or six weeks I don't noticeably have more trouble controlling my blood glucose.

Of the ingredients in the anti-spike supplement, cinnamon has long been recognised to be helpful and there has been fairly recent research into mulberry leaf extract that indicates it might be helpful too.
