Constant nausea, vomiting, stomach ache, diarrhea, eggy burps. It’s making me miserable. I’m gutted as the food suppression and lack of food noise is great but the side effects are horrible.

Are you eating a healthy balanced diet?

I wonder how many side effects are caused by either people carrying on with their usual unhealthy eating, thinking the drug will melt fat, or by making such dramatic changes to their diet that this in itself is causing the issues. Some people are eating only a few hundred calories a day - going to that from eating four times as much will upset your stomach. I'm sure also some are unlucky and it just doesn't suit them in spite of their best efforts.

I'm losing weight steadily on it but was already eating healthily and exercising and it just helps me to eat 200-300 calories less a day than I was previously, which I needed to lose weight reliably. I've lost 10lbs in 3.5 weeks and have had minimal side effects.

Yes I stopped, I tried everything to deal with the sulphur burps and constipation.

What I ate or didn’t eat made no difference whatsoever to either. I came off it and started intermittent fasting which is working like a dream. I’m 22kg down now.

People always say that on these sort of threads.

The reality is some people do suffer bad side effects despite eating well - others do not. The manufacturers acknowledge the risk of side effects on the information leaflet.

DH did. He was OK but uncomfortable on the initial low dose, as soon as he put it up he started vomiting/diarrhoea. It went on for weeks and was horrendous, he lost two stones because he couldn't keep anything down. I think it's not a miracle cure and the side affects will just be too much for some people, just like with any medicine.
