So I have my wedding coming up in July. I gained weight with my babies and Covid. And just never found the motivation to lose the weight. But my wedding is an amazing motivator. Haven’t eaten chocolate in months. The weight is coming off as you would expect with a restricted diet. I also IF.

But, my God, the food noise is unbearable. I OBSESS over food. I look up recipes, watch cooking shows, watch mukhbangs etc. it’s awful. I even dream about food

Would weight loss jabs help with this food noise? The obsessing is honestly such a pain. I can deal with everything else that comes with weight loss. I really miss food - it was huge comfort for me as a SAHM

You might get more responses if you post in the Weight Loss Injections/Treatments board, rather than Weight Loss Chat. You could report your post and ask MN to move it.

The first question is whether you'd meet the prescribing criteria for WLI, eg a BMI over 30 or a BMI over 27 with a weight related health condition, or a BMI over 27 and one of a list of specific ethnicities?

Yes, usually Mounjaro (probably Wegovy too although I don't take it) will stop any obsessive interest in food as you've described. Although I still look up recipes and watch cooking videos, but I don't eat much of what I cook I just enjoy making it for other people. And importantly, I don't mind that.
