Starting again this weekend. So many started and failed attempts but determined this time after seeing a very unflattering view of myself in a camera!

Starting at 215.4lbs (15st 4), aiming for a 10% loss to start so down to 13st 9 (191lbs)

Aiming for 8,000 steps a day and 1750 calories. As well as a 30 min walk each day (outside of ushal school runs)

Anyone else want to join

I'm in, had many many failed attempts over 2 decades but 10stone lost now with about another 4 to go. If I can do it you can

@StuH1 that's amazing, well done. Would love to know how you have done it!

I seem to have been dieting for weeks but although my stomach feels less bloated and my IBS is much better I don't seem to be losing any weight. I was shocked when I weighed myself for the first time in years to discover I am obese. I am working on 1700 calories a day as per NHS app but wonder if that is too many for weight loss?
I know I need to increase my activity levels though

I have gone back onto strict keto for lent. I lost around 5 stone on it before but then stopped being strict enough and maintained weight but didn't continue losing.

I got on really well before, no feelings of hunger and no calorie counting but it did get a bit boring after a while. I'm working on the theory I am so much healthier than I was, but it would be good to lose another stone (or 3).

Biggest hurdle is going to be when I stay with my elderly parents fortnightly as they have biscuits and chocolate lying around.

The nice thing is my summer clothes from last year haven't shrunk over winter.

Thank you, I've yo-yo'd for decades and tried every diet going.
Now I just eat the right things, do exercise and let it take care of itself as far as the weight coming off. I don't weigh myself all the time and if I fancy 6 pints and a curry on a Friday night then fuck it I do it as you still have to live.
It's very much a mindset issue and I honestly believe it should be treated in the same way as anorexia, by this I mean that when I was at my absolute biggest I would struggle walking because my back would hurt and I couldn't go to the high street and buy clothes. Despite that when I looked in the mirror I saw a thin person even though I of course knew deep down how gross I looked.
If PM's hadn't been disabled I'd send before and after pics.
The best feeling in the world is when you see someone you haven't seen for a while and they notice.
You can do this, as I said before if I can you absolute can.
