Can I tell you about my very embarrassing non scale victory?

I can sit on my bed, lift my leg up and cut my toenails in one sitting. I did say it was embarrassing and for most people this is a non-issue.
I used to have to precariously try and balance my foot on my bedside table, cut one, take a rest, then cut another one etc. Took bloody ages!

I know it sounds silly to be excited about this, but I might be able to paint my toenails in a month or so.

Congratulations! 🎉Don't be embarrassed, it's a great win that shows that the work you've put in is actively improving your quality of life, rather than just being a number on the scale. Keep going, I'm rooting for you!

Mine was a bath towel fitting

Not a sheet a towel!

Mine was getting my Apple Watch strap one notch tighter. No longer last notch on the large strap (this happened this week!).

I am the same with toenails! I had such a big stomach! Same with shaving from the waist down. Oh, and there is now at least 2 inches of bath water above me when before, my stomach stuck out like an island 😳

Well done OP!

Well done OP, little stuff like that is so motivating!

Well done OP! Mine was finally seeing my fungal toenail growing out so… a bit gross but it’s making me so happy. I thought I’d get more joy out of clothes fitting but I’m much happier with the non scale victories that I didn’t anticipate like being able to tie my shoes easily…

The toenail thing could be coincidence but it coincides so clearly with when I really cut down on sugar I really think it’s related.

I've signed up to do a10 mile walking challenge for charity over the summer. It's funny how being able to cut my toenails has really spurred me on to do things I would never have thought of.

Yeah. Well done!

I think that’s amazing! Well done. I’m really looking foward to my knicker being too big and needing to buy smaller pairs!

*Edited to show that I own more than one pair of knickers.

It’s not embarrassing it’s a fantastic victory.
My first one was discovering I no longer formed a dam with my body after letting the bath plug out. The water in front of me used to drain but there was water trapped behind me! The day I took the plug out and watched all the water disappear was momentous to me, I’ll never forget the feeling!

TheresNoSuchThingAsBadThoughts · 08/03/2025 14:13

Honestly my scale victory is going to be when I can see my vagina to shave so you know Grin

ShriekingTrespasser · 08/03/2025 14:24

Well done. You've inspired me to look at walking challenges too.

NewYearNewDietAgain · 08/03/2025 16:09

Mine was letting the bath water out and not having half the water trapped behind me. Blush
