March, nice and easy 4 pounds.

Last year a few of us decided to aim for smaller amounts of weight loss and found the four pound goal much more manageable than a bigger goal. We did a couple of months focusing on just four pounds at a time.

We all had different ways to reach our goal and different end goals.

I’m aiming to start again after having to have a (forced) break.

Anyone interested in focusing on 4 lbs?

It is, I find it really achievable and not particularly difficult! Hopefully that feeling will last😂

I’ve always been such a terrible snacker and this stops all that!

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 22/03/2025 22:13

I need to get back to it! Although I have zero appetite at the moment!

Hi guys, I've had the flu, so haven't managed to lose anymore weight, due to feelinglike poop and craving stodgy food, so I'm still at a 2 pounds loss. Potentially, I could drop 2 more pounds in the 8 days left in March, but if I only make it to 3 pounds, that's still 3 pounds less than I started the month on.

I've been back onto the calorie defecit over the last couple of days and once I regain my energy I'll try to get more active again.

Going into the last week tomorrow, so it's a great time for that final push!

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 23/03/2025 14:38

So sorry that you have been unwell @Pitstop1986 .

OP posts:
Goandygo · 23/03/2025 14:56

@Pitstop1986 sorry you've been ill - I was like that over Xmas and the only food I could tolerate was Chinese takeaway and quality street.
Love your positive attitude though. See how your body adjusts for now, but you're still lighter than when you started.

Goandygo · 24/03/2025 16:48

Terrible weekend and I didn't even drink. Just ate so much rubbish.
I'm back on it today - God loves a tryer 🤣

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 24/03/2025 17:48

It’s a new week @Goandygo ! We’ve got this.

OP posts:
Doyouthinktheyknow · 25/03/2025 08:15

New week @Goandygo and that’s the reality of trying to lose weight isn’t it? There will be weeks we overindulge.

@Pitstop1986 it’s hard to be healthy when you feel ill, you are doing great. Like you say, every pound lost is a big step in the right direction!

I seem to be stubbornly stuck at 12 st 3lbs for the last 2 weeks but I can feel my clothes are getting a little looser so I think things are heading in the right direction!

I started end of January and I’ve lost 11lb since then so I’m doing okay.

Just got to keep going and believe the scales will move again🤪

Doing my first proper exercise class since my teens today so we’ll see how that goes🫣🤪

Goandygo · 25/03/2025 09:49

@Doyouthinktheyknow you're doing great. Hope you enjoy the exercise class.

I was awake early so went for a walk, 2 hours later, I'm tired but pleased. I was so tempted to have a cup of tea, or stay in bed but I enjoy walking, so all good.
Yesterday was a great day, too - so glad I got back on it.
And, we've booked to go away Easter weekend - 24 days to get as trim as possible.

Doyouthinktheyknow · 25/03/2025 13:05

Well done @Goandygo, I think capacity to slip and get back on it is the real test and you passed with flying colours🤩

My strength and conditioning class nearly killed me but I did it and I’ve more classes booked. Had a little swim after and a jacuzzi which was lovely.

Rest day for me tomorrow because I’m at work all day!

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 26/03/2025 07:48

@Doyouthinktheyknow 11 lb since January is amazing! If your clothes are feeling looser then something is happening. Class sounds exhausting! 😂

@Goandygo excellent incentive! Well done on getting up!

I’m seeing a nice downward trend on the scale which is encouraging.

OP posts:
Doyouthinktheyknow · 26/03/2025 19:00

@Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth Very well done, downward trend is what we want 👏

I’m struggling to move today😂
I have an aqua class in the morning, hoping that will loosen me up. Jacuzzi and sauna after♥️

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 26/03/2025 19:53

Jacuzzi and sauna sound lovely @Doyouthinktheyknow !
If my daily trend continues I’m hoping it’s a good loss this week (unless I put on a few pounds before Friday 😂).

I’m going to attempt to do a Pilates class tomorrow for the first time in months. I’ve been poorly so stopped and not fully recovered so I’ll see how I am tomorrow but I’m really missing exercise! If not I’ll give it a few more weeks and try again.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 28/03/2025 07:51

Another lb down so a total of 4lb for the month which I’m pleased about.

This week had been good food wise until last night when I had Chinese takeaway because we were too lazy.

OP posts:
Doyouthinktheyknow · 28/03/2025 11:47

@Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth well done on the loss, excellent work.

I hope you enjoyed the Pilates if you made it to the class.

I think I’ve decided group exercise isn’t really my thing but we’ll see. I might try again in a couple of months. I’m enjoying the weight training at the gym and cardio, just think I like to do my own thing.

My knees are really vulnerable to injury too so I need to go carefully with certain exercises. I’ll weigh in on Monday, hoping for another pound down on the last day of the month.

I’ve been at the gym for a good workout this morning, feel better for it. I am working long days all weekend so I’ll aim to pop in Sunday evening after work for a short workout.

Goandygo · 28/03/2025 15:17

13st 6 today. That's a 2lb loss this week and 6lb overall.
I'm really pleased with that. I've tried so hard this week. Yesterday I walked 19, 453 steps - target obviously 10k so I'll keep on walking.
I've been hungry before tea but I actually think this is a good thing. I'm ready to eat, not eating rubbish all day which makes you feel awful.
Yesterday I made ham n pea soup in the slow cooker - it was so nice.

Weekend is not going to be healthy as such but I've been working so hard this week, I deserve wine and cheesecake. Plus, Mother's Day Sunday ❤️ we're out for a meal and drinks with family.

Have a lovely weekend, everyone.
Slow n steady is winning the race 🥉

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 28/03/2025 16:02

@Doyouthinktheyknow I didn’t go! Unfortunately my body went on strike and I was in lots of pain. I’ll keep trying! I love weights and can’t wait to get back to it. Great idea to plan your gym visits.

@Goandygo well done! That’s great! Have a great weekend!

OP posts:
Doyouthinktheyknow · 28/03/2025 17:38

@Goandygo we done, that’s amazing👏🤩

Thats a shame @Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth, hope you feel better soon. It’s always good to listen to your body.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and Mother’s Day💐♥️

Pitstop1986 · 29/03/2025 07:23

I'm another pound down, so that's 3 pounds off this month. Going to have a break on the diet for mother's day tomorrow, then back to it on Monday.

Well done on everyone's amazing losses! We've all done so well!

Pitstop1986 · 29/03/2025 07:33

Are we doing an April thread?

I reckon I'm about 2-3 pounds off my jeans fitting again. I can get them on, but can't do the zip up! It would be great to not have to live in leggings anymore (albeit the leggings are very comfortable!)

Goandygo · 29/03/2025 08:23

@Pitstop1986 well done, 3lbs is brilliant. I'm sick of leggings too - was just thinking that yesterday.
Yes, we could start a new thread. I'll do it Monday, fresher start.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 29/03/2025 08:24

@Pitstop1986 well done!

I would love to carry on next month!

OP posts:
Doyouthinktheyknow · 29/03/2025 19:41

@Pitstop1986, well done, 3lb’s is fabulous!

We’ve all done brilliantly, it’s lovely to have that shared experience and to support each other. I’m definitely up for continuing through April. Got quite a bit more to lose unfortunately🤪

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 31/03/2025 18:06

Ending the month 6lb down and looking forward to April!
