Everything sweet got me today 😁. I can honestly say I haven’t stopped eating throughout the whole of Christmas.

Thursday is very close now and I’m starting to get nervous. I sorted through a few exercise programmes (easy ones) on YouTube today. I think I’ll only be able to do a little at first until I get used to them which has started to worry me. Instead of thinking of giving up before I’ve started (which I’ve done before), I thought I’ll just stay with it until I start to feel fitter and note my progress,

im home alone tomorrow for the last day of what’s been an awful year. I’m dreading all the fireworks because my dogs will be so scared and I’ll have to stay up really late to comfort them. DP, who is the nicest person ever, has offered to come and comfort them because his cat is deaf so the fireworks won’t bother him.

so it’s nearly time to start losing weight and exercising properly, without any excuses. Tomorrow I may go through the cupboards and fridge to eat anything left from Christmas and then I’ll start!

Good morning ladies, last day of 2025! I hope we can reflect on the year and see there have been some good bits, my overall rating of the year as a whole has been that it started crap and got worse but in amongst all that there must be some glimmers of joy?

I loved seeing Oliver with my son in March, I have made a couple of new friends and I hope to see more of them next year, and I had a lovely holiday. Towards the end of the year I felt a bit of a shift In my health and mental health after what was quite a dark patch during the spring/summer. I have done well at work and I think that will continue into 2026.

I have an extensive list of new year goals but they all basically come down to a couple of categories: looking after myself better, making friends / connections, and enjoying my life more and making the most of the things I have. These 3 encompass such a wide range of micro goals that will hopefully all contribute to 2026 being a much better year overall.

today I am working, although I am
plodding through a long piece of data cleansing which is nearly finished and I hope to be nearly done by the end of the day. Going out tonight. Will take Maggie for a lovely long walk, run at lunchtime. Try to eat normal food during the day even though dinner will be party food and wine.

have a great New Year’s Eve wherever you are and whatever you are doing, and looking forward to seeing you all in 2026!

Also, I am going to start a new thread as we are so near the end of this one, I will post the link on here later when I create it. I thought a new thread might catch some new regulars to join us in their 2026 goals!

Hi all. I haven't weighed recently and don't feel like I've lost any, but I've not ate any rice for a few days now, which can't be said for noodles, but I've requested people to stop feeding me this now also, so hopefully that will help. I've been on the soup last few days and going ok with this.
I did some relaxation exercising this morning which seemed to help digestion. I plan to fit this more in my daily routine.
My aim is to be under 14 stone by next thread, with as big a gap as possible!

Evening all. Tonight's imaginative food consumption was 2 small tubs of cereal and a banana. I had a coke late afternoon at the pub and a cup of tea at a restaurant before embarking on a late shift, sleepin and morning shift.
I have 1 banana and a couple of oranges to get me through the morning.
It was after 4pm when I left the house and was expecting Aldi to be open, so was going to buy some fruit on route 😊, oh well. Main thing is I didn't crave junk food much, which was a surprise, although I was quite busy so not 100% sure on craving levels compared to usual.
My non sociable, but quite likeable shift pattern has changed to Monday to Friday 9am-5pm in an office, which will be interesting as I get very triggered with office radios, people singing and swearing. 😯.

@TalkToTheHand123 great start to the year! How come your shifts have changed? That’s a big difference for you. A lot of people wear headphones in our office (when we are very rarely in) and listen to their own music or podcasts while they work. You might find having a set pattern and location is great for the diet though and you’ll hopefully be able to take your lunches and use a microwave there?

we started a new thread for the new year, come and join us over there!
