Easy diets - need inspiration and motivation! WW or SW perhaps?

Have two stone to lose, a 7 week old baby and need an easy diet that doesn't require too much prep/shopping.

What are good things to cut out? I am currently doing no crisps/choc/biscuits etc and trying to drink lots of water. Problem is I can often only eat something that's quick - like toast - which isn't overly healthy.

How easy are weight watchers and slimming world to follow?

Sw is a doddle as there is very little weighing and measuring. I've lost 2 stone on it and am now at target.

You can make up big pots of pasta in tomato sauce or couscous in the evening then nibble on it throughout the next day. Fruit and veg are also 'free' so you can graze on that when you get time rather than having to count points like on ww.

If you go on the sw website you can find a local group. Most places have a daytime one so you can take the baby with you.

Do you think it's as effective if you do it online? My nearest group isn't very near!

I'd try to get to group the first few times and then go online, until you get the hand of it. There's a brilliant support thread on here, join us!!

Ive been doing wieght watchers online for almost 10 weeks and lost over a stone.

Its the first diet I have ever tried and i am findingit really easy to stick to. I havent done any weighing and I am just sticking to the points plan .

I have two dds both under 4 so I have to cook for the family and its been fairly easy so far.

Hope this helps.

I'm another Slimming World girl - have found it very easy, never hungry and dh and ds eat the same meals. I hope to loose a stone - have 1 1/2lbs to go by next week which will have been 7 weeks. It does appear confusing when you first hear how it works, but it's really easy and you literally can eat your weight in free foods.

I have done both plans. WW is great Iost 21lb fairly quickly and was so pleased with myself but as soon I stopped counting points I managed to put all the weight on again I also found I had to be very strict with myself.

I am now on SW (because WW isn't available). It took me a while to get used to it, being used to WW but I am really happy. Weight loss is slower but the diet is so much easier to fit into day to day life. We eat out a lot and I don't find it a problem at all. I have about a stone left to lose and I will be at target

My best tip which ever diet you do is get organised. Don't leave it until lunch time to decide what you are having for lunch. Menu plan and buy the ingredients in advance and you won't go wrong (or you are less likely to go wrong).

Oh and stay for class, other people are so inspirational. I found the classes to be a bit painful to start with but now I love them.

I have volunteered to help out so I HAVE to go and I also bought a countdown (6 weeks in advance) not only can you save a bit of money but you are more likely to stick to it as you have already paid up!! It's easy to decide to stay at home when you have had a bad week but that's the week you need to go!!!

Good luck whatever you decide to do, there's loads of support on here for SW or WW or simply for those who decide to cut out the crap and just eat more healthy - you can do it
