I'm a VERY active person. One way or the other I've done some sort of workout for the past 8 years. That's how I originally lost 35kg 8 years ago.
After having our second baby, I was able to lose some of the extra baby weight, but was never able to get as low as I wanted to.
I completely re started my work out routine, do have been like I said very active for the past 4 years non stop. With that I mean running 50k or 5 hours of spinning plus 3 hours of strength training every week.
I'm very fit too, I can run sub 4 marathons, sprint hills, etc.. Resting heart rate is 50 or below.
Also 4 years ago, I restarted my "diet" (which helped me lose the 35kg). I always eat the same mon-fri, with exactly the same measurements. Never thought too much about it because once I reached a certain weight, it wouldn't nudge and just fluctuay from that point.
Frustrating, but by that point very used to it, and I thought it was calorie restriction it HAD to work. My DH always told me I simply didn't enough, but I argued there was no way I could train that much (including training for London Marathon).
I also have chronic constipation (sorry for the TMI!) but nobody has every really paid attention to it. My hematologist told me it was part of my condition and to just suck it up. Usual laxatives don't work BTW.
Anyway, so this weekend DH and I downloaded MFP mostly for the giggles, but it has been an eye opener to me.
As I always eat the same (and have measured it in terms of spoonfuls or counting berries, but never bothered to weight it) and my average mon - fri intake is 1200 (sometimes less!) and on weekends it can go as high as 1600. My baseline BMR is 1320.
I'm going to start eating more hopefully it will help.
Hieofuy somebody else has expei the same.
PS I do have hypothyroidism but it's under control
