Weight watchers versus slimming world

I am looking to join a weight loss group but the write ups on both slimming world and weight watchers look similar
both have free foods both use points / syns can anyone help with a quick sum up of both programs and how they compare if you have tried both

None, they both endorse UPF - low fat, high sugar/sweetener/chemicals. I would avoid both.

I did SW. Did it my own way, within the structure of SW.
WW is essentially the same idea. Points / Syns, same.

I used to do WW pre covid and lost well with it. Then loads of WW leaders were made redundant and there were no suitable local groups, so I started SW. I've lost equally as well with SW. I think WW has changed over time to be more like SW. The SW app has improved massively and the WW one was good too.

The SW website has a free 7 day menu you could look at and see if it would fit your lifestyle - they also still do a magazine.

If you want to attend a meeting I would go with whichever is the most convenient.

It's basically the same diet. I prefer SW as I find the free food and syn system easier to follow. I don't go to the groups, I just follow the diet myself. I don't like to weigh too often as I fixate on it but I've gone from a size 16/18 to a 12.
