Anyone else doing this diet?

OP posts:
Vdub2025 · 10/01/2025 18:12

I’ve started the 1:1 diet today, it’s been tough!

Lillibe80 · 10/01/2025 18:44

I started this yesterday on 1b. It's been okay so far but I hear day 3 to 5 is harder.

Vdub2025 · 10/01/2025 19:22

I think I did it wrong today as I had porridge for breakfast, then noodles for lunch and a shake + bar for dinner. I’m thinking I should have had the shake for breakfast, porridge + bar for lunch and then noodles for dinner. Does it matter? I’ve felt ok today, a bit hungry this afternoon but ok.

Lillibe80 · 11/01/2025 13:18

Vdub2025 - don't think you have done it wrong. How are you feeling today ? It's my 3rd day and I'm feeling lightheaded but other than that not hungry at all. I have heard that if you feel dizzy or lightheaded to have a boiled egg - good protein source only 77 calories better than having an extra item

Vdub2025 · 12/01/2025 12:52

I feel ok, quite hungry and am trying to push to 1.30pm for lunch. I’m on day 3 today! How are you feeling today on day 4?
my consultant has said once I get through today it will get easier

Lillibe80 · 12/01/2025 16:01

Hi
I got to day 4 today and i don't feel hungry at all. I making sure I have all the items and drinking 2.5lt of water - I've also started having hot lemon water. I feel okay a little dizzy but that's going - ive lost 9lb in 4 days I weighed myself this morning albeit this will be water i still consider a win 🏆

1587S · 12/01/2025 21:37

Hi, I am starting tomorrow. I know it’s going to be hard but I need to do this.

i have at least 5 stone to lose. How much has everyone else got to lose?

I am starting on step 2, what step is everyone else doing?

Very happy to have company on the way!

Lillibe80 · 13/01/2025 17:15

Hi 1587s
I'm on 1b day 5 - lost 10lb 5oz in that time. My advice would be drink the water daily you are supposed to 2.25ltr or alittle more if you can. I have been a little dizzy at day 3 and 4 but today I feel great. I hope you enjoy it x

Lillibe80 · 13/01/2025 17:17

1587s- I also have 5 stone to lose too !

1587S · 13/01/2025 18:42

Wow, 10lbs already! You are well on your way. I have heard you can lose a stone in a 2 weeks - that would be fantastic.

Today has gone well, had a bit of chicken this afternoon as I was feeling really weak. But ok now.

Only got about another litre of water to go today!

Lillibe80 · 13/01/2025 22:26

Yeah 10lbs but I believe right now it's just water you lose for the first couple of weeks.
Well done to you for getting through day 1, you can do this!

blackskytonight · 14/01/2025 21:43

Nice to see this chat, I'm not one for posting I have to say but so relevant just now.

I'm really pleased with my progress.

I started Cambridge 1:1 in November and it's working well for me! 81.5kg to 74.4kg with Christmas in between.

I'm feeling like I could go to step 3, but I want to wait until I say bye (hopefully forever!) to the 70kg's.

From previous experience (I had two babies otherwise I wouldn't be needing ti do this 3rd time!) the first week is the worst, so well done to those getting through it👏

1587S · 15/01/2025 09:34

Well done on your weight loss so far blackskytonight!

Well it’s day 3 for me, but I am still feeling positive and sticking to the plan. Hopefully I will see results on Monday.

how is everyone else doing? Any official weigh ins yet?

Lillibe80 · 15/01/2025 16:36

It's my official weigh in tomorrow- i weighed this morning and I've lost 12.5lb in 6 days .....hopefully reach that stone by tomorrow if not no pressure. Good to hear it's going okay for you

1587S · 16/01/2025 22:25

How did you get on Lillbe80?

Lillibe80 · 17/01/2025 11:29

Hi 1587s,

1 stone 1lb - so happy with that but I'm told it will slow right down now week 2 and 3. I'm definitely in ketosis now as I'm not even hungry at this point but ensuring I'm having all the products per day and I'm having 3 litres of water too.
How are you doing ?

1587S · 17/01/2025 19:18

Wow, that’s amazing Lillie80, well done!

That’s definitely motivation to keep going? Just think you only have 3 stone something to go now.

i am doing ok, need to drink some more I think, even though I seem to be drinking all day. Weekend is going to be harder I think. But I am going to do this!

Lillibe80 · 21/01/2025 17:48

1587s-
Hey how's it all going for you?

blackskytonight · 21/01/2025 18:06

I had an iffy weekend but I was PMT so I think that's fair enough!
Been 100% this week so far though and it's not been bad at all!

I lost another 2lb.

How about you, how are you getting on?

Lillibe80 · 21/01/2025 22:01

Well done to you that's great.
Im 12 days in now and lost 1stone 4llb.
It's been okay really so far but I did have some cravings for an Indian curry yesterday but instead ate a cambridge Thai curry sachet 😂
Got my next weigh in this Thursday so we shall see!
Have a successful week ahead 😊

TheChosenTwo · 21/01/2025 23:03

Sorry to barge in and I hope you don’t mind me asking, what actually is the Cambridge diet? Is it just very low calorie for a set period of time? I knew someone who did it about 10 years ago and kind of remember her just eating chicken and eggs - there must be more variety than that based on some posts here!
wish I’d asked her at the time but it felt a bit intrusive when I didn’t know her very well.

blackskytonight · 22/01/2025 07:21

It's meal replacements depending on which 'step' you start on, you then add one protein and veg meal a day, gradually phasing out the products and increasing calories/normal food so you can maintain weight loss and a healthier diet by the end, their website explains all the steps and what you can have. You do it with a 1:1 consultant and that's a key part.

blackskytonight · 22/01/2025 07:25

Haha re curry! Nice one well done @Lillibe80
We are lucky in one way as we don't have much in the way of takeaways where I live and 95% of the restaurants are closed for winter!

Lillibe80 · 29/01/2025 18:42

Hi everyone
How are we all doing on the programme?
