I'm signed up, first time to do it. I can't wait to get started. Although have been eating 1200 cals the last two days and I have to say I'm hungry at times. Need to get planning on how to manage the calories better

Me! It’s my first time doing it too.

teenboymom · 03/01/2025 08:42

Ah great, maybe we can spur each other on! I can't wait to get started, I've really let myself go!

I am. Would like to lose 3 stone , not on the program itself but over the next year.
Have started walking an hour every day to get myself into it.

Procrastination4 · 03/01/2025 11:40

The starting date for me is the 22nd of January. Is it the same for both of you too? I really need to get back to walking. I walked every day from Jan to the end of September in 2024, and then the wheels came off the wagon and I only went sporadically from October to December. I’ve barely set foot outside the door over Christmas!🙈

Meandmouse · 03/01/2025 12:34

Hi. yes start date is 22nd. I’m off work until Monday so thought I would try to get in habit of walking every day.. Have also got rid of all Christmas sweets.

Procrastination4 · 03/01/2025 13:14

Well Done, @Meandmouse I’m an utter chocoholic and have been ploughing my way through a few (smallish) boxes of Butler’s chocolates, Skellig chocolates and Lily O’Brien chocolates since Christmas Eve(all Irish brands.) I’m now on the final round of chocolate inhalation-a tin of really nice chocolates from a chocolatier in Vancouver (Christmas gift). I SHOULD have given them away but alas I didn’t. But once they’re gone🤞🤞🤞Hoping to get a short walk in later.

teenboymom · 03/01/2025 13:29

I started with the walks too. I have a dog so would get out most days anyway. My biggest challenge is I work nights so trying to stay on track through a night shift will be difficult.

Yes I can imagine shift work and irregular mealtimes can really play havoc with sticking to a plan. I’m hoping to stick with “healthy” eating for the next couple of weeks before the actual plan starts, to get myself into good habits. So I’m hoping to start with a breakfast of porridge and fruit/boiled eggs and fruit/ Greek yogurt and fruit, lunch of soup or salad with chicken or turkey and dinner with fish/chicken/vegetables and small portion of rice or potatoes, and plenty of water each day, a daily walk, a civilized bedtime( I’m a terrible night owl) and reduced screen time.
It sounds doable in theory but the execution of it will be a different story! (And we still have a few Christmas “social” events between now and the 8th of January, which makes it even more of a challenge!)

JudyBlumesBlubber · 06/01/2025 07:33

I did it once before and know it works but it’s the effort to maintain that threw me and I didn’t plan well enough for what happens after the last photo in the dress lol.
It takes time and effort which can be a challenge - it‘s a minimum of 1.5 hours with the walk, motivational videos and hour long weekly seminars - but at least you get value for money! I am repeating it with the goal of losing the final stone.

Meandmouse · 18/01/2025 18:18

Hi, how is everyone? Have meal planned for this week? Very busy work week so need to have a plan.

teenboymom · 20/01/2025 10:33

I can't wait to start now, I've been easing myself into it? Eating 1350 cals for last 3 weeks and lost 5lbs! Not prepped but will do a shop tomorrow.

Hi there, I also started BodySlims for the first time on 22nd Jan.
I really enjoyed the seminars, especially the second one. I've done every diet going and never had any one gotten in my head so quickly. I'm doing the 3 for 2 for the first two weeks and really enjoyed the food today.

Will be blowing the dust off my walking pad tomorrow during Storm Eowyn. Was wrecked after today's walk but so glad I did it.

Hoping to lose 35lbs in total - hopefully these 10 weeks will send me on my way!

Good luck everyone

I’ve started too, not off to a great start I have to admit as had a crazy week of travel and work events this week so didn’t manage the walk yesterday and have gone over the calories due to wine 💀. I’m doing my best though and will update my game over the weekend.

I am finding the videos very waffle, there are some good messages in them but I think they need to edited down a bit!
