Flirting with GI diet - need recipes from Sunday Times mag thingy

am strictly on the Cod Diet but am flirting secretly with the GI one - mainly as I read the Sunday Times at MILs house yesterday and all the recipes sounded yummy - she wouldn't give the mag to me however as she wants the recipes, boo.

Could someone be an angel from heaven and post the saffron lamb kebabs recipe and the fruitcake one?

Purleeeese?

I am on the GI diet and it is great. We bought a book on it from WH Smiths that give you 2 weeks of planned menus. Lunch today was a tortilla wrap with salsa, avacado and crab, with a bean salad that i couldnt finish. I have lost 6 pounds in a week and a bit. The food is very varied, very healthy and loads of it. I have stuck to it with little problems and have left food I have been so full. Very, very healthy too, I'd recomend it

made the Bara Brith teabread tonight. Very tasty. Must be good and only eat 1 slice.

Just had our GI supper of a vast amount of broccoli and green beans, a gammon steak basted with honey and mustard and a yoghurty, puy lentil sauce with onions, garlic and cumin. And it was bloody lovely!

GI is the way to go

Just had my GI supper of grilled steak, mashed sweet potatoes and pea. Joy of joys, because we are on day 10 we have a special treat today of two scoops of frozen yoghurt! Yummy!

piffle · 14/01/2005 19:33

did the salmon tonight from the sunday times recipe.
Really spot on perfect, my 10 yr old ate every drop along with a good dollop of tabboulleh
I am really really liking this food!

happymerryberries · 14/01/2005 20:13

Me too Piffle. I am honesly enjoying this food more than all the excess over xmas. I don't know if it is the quality of the ingredients, the recipies being so good or the fact that I am not stuffing myself stupid, or a combination of them all, but I am realy relishing my food. And I am not hungry, I'm passing up some of the food because I am so full.
