How to stop comfort eating

Going through a tough time with divorce and I have developed a bad habit of reaching for chocolate when I'm low. It makes me feel better for a minute but ultimately worse. I'm addicted to sugar. I don't qualify for weight loss injections and I do exercise regularly but need to stop eating sugary crap. How??

Have you tried hypnosis? I use various ones for binge eating and sugar cravings, I find them really effective.

@thenewaveragebear1983 never thought of hypnosis, can you tell me more please?

I use the ones from a company called clearminds. They send you a recording as a file and you keep it and can listen whenever you need to, I just listen lying in bed, sometimes I fall asleep, sometimes I just sort of drift off. You wake up at the end, but it definitely does seem to stop the urge to binge for me. You need to listen regularly, maybe 3 times a week.

@thenewaveragebear1983 I downloaded it and just listened. Very relaxing, I'll report back to see if it works!
