Losing 100g a day!? Plateau or should I give up?

I’m 60 and looking to lose at least 10 lbs (more). Diet is good, took advice re macro split, 1400 cals per day. I dropped 5lbs across two weeks, but now feel I’m at a standstill. I’m concerned this weight is my new set point.

I’m not cheating and I go to the gym every second day. I’m halfway through couch25k and lift weights as well. Thoughts?

I think it's too early to tell if you're only on your third week. Sometimes things like water retention will make you heavier for a few days. You're doing great, give it another 2-3 weeks and see how you progress.

@TuesdaysAreBest you won’t loose every week. The start will be fastest as you loose some water weight too…

then you will have some weeks you will loose nothing, some you may even have a small gain but overall the overall trend over the month is that it will keep dropping if you are on the right plan for you!

keep going it will move!

Thanks both. Yes, just need to be patient.
