My lovely little sis got engaged last month and wedding was planned for next spring - had DD2 2 months ago and am 2 stone over pre preg weight which was at least a stone over ideal weight
BUT now they have found a late deal in an amazing place and are getting married in ..........5 WEEKS
OMG I am still ex BF my porker and am matron of honour BUT I seriously need to shed some pounds ASAP....so I have 5 weeks to lose I hope a stone (not sure anymore is a good idea while still BF)...am only 5ft2in so that will hopefully get me into a size 16 which is the best I can hope for under the circs...
Anyway am sooo pleased and excited - but any tips please.......

i joined weight watchers when my ds was 6 weeks old and was ex bf too.

i lost about 2-3 lbs a week consistantly, so you could, if you were really good, lose a good half a stone to a stone in this time.....

i found it really good...i was focused and the weekly weigh in spurred me on no end.
you get extra points because of the bf, so you'll not need to be hungry or cut down on your good healthy foods.....

i'm sure you'll look great!!

have a lovely day, whatever.

I am doing weightwatchers whilst breastfeeding too btw and started when ds2 was about 4 months ish. I think i had almost lost a stone in a month. It was pretty close anyway and you get to eat loads. The last thing you want to be when breastfeeding is hungry!

Cut out all junk and eat fairly normally and do some exercise and you should find that the breastfeeding takes care of removing some weight. I know not everyone has the same experience, but whenever I have been bf and not eating chocolate, biscuits, lashings of mayonnaise on everything, crisps and so on (i.e. have stuck to at a guess about 1800-2000 calories a day), I've lost weight. Add in a bit more exercise (swimming 3x a week, say?) and I reckon it would be guaranteed. You shouldn't need to go down to a silly diet calorie allowance (and that would be bad for the baby anyway).

Good luck!

Weightwatchers - really really great. My DD1 is 7 months old, I'm STILL 2 stones over ex preggie weight and have just joined. I have never been before and must say that I'm full of inspiration, it's fab, you can eat soooo much and drink too!

Go for it, good luck.
