So - 6 months ago today -

Sunday, 16th June 2024

i was struggling to weight after going on a very strict diet for the first 4 and a half months of 2024 - lost 3 and a half stone from 1st Jan to May 20th but even though I was doing excellently - gave up.

Anyway - on 16th June - which also happened to be Father’s Day - I was debating - do I buy some wine and chocs in memory of my late Dad - and indulge - and start the diet tomorrow?

Anyway - I decided in memory of my Dad - I’d start the diet today and go to the gym .

Anyway - around lunchtime that day - after I’d finished my gym session - and weighed myself - to cut a long story short - I had a purely chance meeting with the person who I now realise has come to be the love of my life

my life in the past 6 months has as a result had more meaning and purpose and been happier than it’s been in a long time.

if this post today helps just one person it will have been worth it ❤️

We've moved your lovely thread to our Weight Loss Chat board now, as we saw you didn't receive any replies in Chat when you posted this morning.

This is so uplifting and helpful!

I've gained a little bit of extra weight and have a thyroid condition too which isn't helping. I've just started making tweaks and modifying my diet and doing more exercise in an attempt to lose it so hoping the motivation lasts!

I'm going to try to enjoy the process rather as much as I can so thank you for the inspiration and the motivation to keep going rather than give up at the first hurdle.

That is amazing! It is serendipity. Did you find it easier to stick to the diet this time?
