Hungry before bed + vent

I had porridge for breakfast with berries, an egg salad roll for lunch, and pasta with veg for dinner. My snack was an apple. It doesn’t sound like much but it’s enough for me as I’m 5ft 2. I feel hungry, I don’t work, but I’m sorting my life out and am extremely busy, there’s never a day I have nothing to do, I’m trying to get my qualifications, working with mental health support, and a number of other things. I’ve been really busy and extremely stressed with important emails, phone calls, meetings, and general life. I have been over exerting myself because there’s just too much to do. Just when I thought I had a day off to do nothing I didn’t actually, someone has been an absolute cunt and created MORE jobs for me. I don’t know what I should eat but if I don’t I won’t sleep tonight. Any suggestions

Sounds tough. Warm milk. Or milk and a banana. Or a camomile tea. Helps sleep. Have a bath.

I’ve made myself a second dinner but it isn’t bad as it’s healthy, rice and veg

Are you vegetarian? You need more protein it will fill you up more. Grew yoghurt, not 0%.

its good advice but no, I eat meat. I will eat fish and a bit of chicken, sometimes steak. This week has been the last week of the month before pay day. I’d run out of the money to buy meat this week but I’ll do better with my budgeting next month

I struggle with night time hunger too. If evenings are stressful, I think it's blood sugar dropping, rather than a lack of willpower. Only thing that works for me is three meals a day at 10, 2, 6. Your meals sound quite carby OP and an egg roll isn't really much for lunch. Can you have a hot cooked meal for lunch and protein/fats/veg for dinner rather than pasta? Even lentils or beans if you are short of money, I know they are carbs too but a bit more of a slow burn. I have really made an effort not to eat in the evenings after 6, just a cup of miso soup about ten, and it is having an impact on my middle, I'm pleased to say, but hunger in the evenings is a bastard, I agree.

Between dinner and bed I have a Fast 800 keto hot chocolate and put a spoon of collagen in. It already has collagen but just for extra protein as I'm a bit rubbish with protein during the day. It kills any hunger and kills the desire for something sweet, fills me up and helps me sleep as it keeps blood sugar stable.

I should’ve mentioned I’ve got IBS so there’s things I can’t have like lentils but I’ll keep the other things you’ve mentioned in mind. I usually don’t go to sleep until late as I’ve got so much work to do so so I feel like I need a second dinner by 10 or 11
