What’s the lowest calories you can consume without feel sick and weak?

I see people on Ozempic averaging very low calorie intakes. I personally find myself feeling unwell on anything below 1200 - shaky, lightheaded etc. Much higher if I go swimming or for a bike ride.
A friend says Ozempic helps her stick to around 900 calories.

Just wondering if I’m normal or not. I am 165 with pcos and more than likely pre diabetic.

Nobody should be going below 1200 a day. You struggle to get enough nutrients (not calories, nutrients) to maintain a healthy body on that as it is. You would certainly struggle to not F up your metabolism if you stuck to sub 1200 for any length of time.

  • The NHS website states that an average woman needs 2,000kcal a day

TBH if I go below a 500cal deficit it becomes pointless as I have less motivation to exercise and my weight loss slows.
What works for me is a 200-400cal deficit, so big healthy wholefood meals and plenty of activity!

800 cal. Like the fast 800 diet.
It feels fine if you stick to protein and veg. It's the carbs and insulin that trigger the shakiness.
