Hit my original goal!

Start Weight 17st 4lbs (I weighed more at one point but stayed away from scales so not sure how much)
Original Goal weight and current weight 10st4lbs

98lbs gone

Have decided to lose a little more so my goal weight is now 9st9lbs but today I got size 10 trousers.

I had gastric surgery as I'd spent 15 years overweight or obese.

I do and don't.
Obviously multiple pregnancies and 7 stone loss means my body isn't ever going to be conventionally attractive and I can't afford surgery.
So although I do feel so much better I still really dislike myself. Especially undressed.

I get what you mean about looking at your body now, I haven't lost as much but a considerable amount,and being so much older, the skin is telling its tale

Its not pretty and tbh I do flinch at times when I catch sight

BUT, Im focussing on that I can move without being short of breath. That I can get out and walk, run around with the grandchildren and even did a Mighty Hike this year - 26 miles and I finished in the top 30%

Im heading into my later years healthier then I have been for decades and thats a HUGE plus. Im getting used to how the body looks undressed, I dont like it, but Im also pretty bloody proud of it. End of the day its only me and he who see it naked and hes not flinching. Clothes really do maketh the woman, I love how I can turn myself out now , I enjoy clothes again

I'm hoping one day I can feel that way about my body but right now I'm just fighting the urge to risk further surgery that I don't really want. Well I want the results but not the risk!

Hey Im not saying its easy. Its so weird, I can look at my face, see the lines and wrinkles and Im ok with those, Im at an age I never thought id make ( I was a wild child ) and they really honestly truly dont upset me. But seeing my arm and the slack wrinkled skin - its not easy. Its seeing that that makes me realise my age . And whilst during my obese days I would happily move between bathroom and bedroom as nature dictated, I now cover up ( theres only me and he here )

And the daft thing is, I am the least vain person you would ever meet.

So here I am with scrawny shoulders , skinny arms and legs that look more chicken then human, and loose skin which wrinkles. But what can I do? Win the lotto and put myself under the knife? Thats never happening so I have to accept what I have and I have to keep reminding myself, its not pretty, but its pretty bloody fit and now I stand a chance to make real old bones because you know, life is good , well its better then the alternative, and now at least Im not feared of the dance floor
