Just got Wii Fit - will it get me fit?

Looks quite good so far - has measured my weight and bmi, advised me how much I need to lose to get into the ideal range. Has STEP which takes me back a bit.

What I really like is that you can password protect your personal details, so DH can't see how I'm doing unless I choose to tell him.

Anyone else got one, and want to share which activities are best?

We just got ours yesterday and to my horror I am obese (tbh I knew this already!) and have a bmi of 30. I think it will motivate me as you can 'stamp' each day and keep a record of how you're doing. I like the hula hoop activity and the jogging (I'd never jog on the spot for that long otherwise) I'm hoping to lose at least a stone but realise that I probably have to go to the gym as well. Let me know how you get on.

Yes I really like the hula hoop too, and some of the balance ones - the marble type thingy is good.

My BMI is 28, so comfortably overweight so to speak. I have a target of losing 1.5 stones in 3 months, so we'll see.

Have you noticed that your Mii looks correspondingly plump! DD2 is bang on her ideal weight and her Mii looks very nice and trim compared to mine.

I have clocked up an hour on the Wii today, and my family have been having fun just watching. My DDs have been racing each other on the jogging.

So far so good. I do think it will encourage me to exercise more often, and hopefully also to cut down on what I'm eating and drinking too.
