High protein snacks needed

Hi, I'm trying to increase my protein and decrease my carbs, as historically when losing weight that seemed to work.

But I am now in my late 30s, two kids and a whole lot of hormones further on since I last lost weight (21/22yrs old).

My question is, what high protein foods do you eat? What carbs/how many carbs do you eat? How do I lose weight without sending my PMDD/hormones off the wall?

I am open minded when it comes to my eating, so looking for all experiences that you'd like to share. Ultimately I want to get healthier and fitter, while not risking my mental health (my pmdd can be quite bad on some months), I also don't have a time frame, it'll take as long as it takes.

Thank you!

Take a look at Eric Westman on you tube, he is one of the medical doctors who is behind the current reemergence of the low carb diet to treat obesity and metabolic syndrome. He does offer courses through his website adaptyourlifeacademy, but all the info behind it is freely available on the website or via his YouTube presentations.

I aim for nor more than 20g total carbs a day. Which means salads and non-starchy veg as sides to meat based meals.
My snacks are cheese, hard boiled eggs, double cream, and cold meat.
But when you get used to low carb, become fat adapted, it is amazing how little hunger you have- the need to snack disappears.
Another way to tackle snacking is just to stop, if you are hungry eat a full (low carb) meal.

I watched this video the other day, I can recommend it if you are really thinking about reducing carb intake.

Best of luck!
